The vast, panoramic sea views and beach make this a desireable place to stay, and the short bike ride to central Nyborg provides an opportunity to tour the old buildings, museums, and churches. Point the camera in any direction and get a great image. Shopportunities abound in the shops and grab a milk shake or beer, as is your want, in the caves and restaurants.
The hotel is also a conference center with a great art collection. The conference center areas have some ventilation but the guest room was stifling. Opening the window helped somewhat but insects came in since there are no screens. The window must be locked upon leaving the room for security, so there is no chance to get rid of the musty, sour odor in these older rooms.
Breakfast buffet is a welcome feast in the morning with the choice of sitting outdoors looking at the water.
Service at dinner in the dining room was sparse, they seem to be understaffed, and they are more focused on bussing tables then waiting tables. They did not bring the wine that was ordered until it was brought to their attention. They never came to the table to ask if the glass should be refilled, which must cost the restaurant revenue they might otherwise realize. The food at dinner was disappointing and bland, as though everything had been either boiled or steamed. The steak was a poor cut and chewy. Dessert was not just serve yourself, but cook your own crepes. There should have been cinnamon and confectioners sugar on the table to sprinkle on the crepes, and a better restaurant would have had a chef cooking them to order with a choice of fillings.
There is sufficient free parking behind the hotel.
Watch the charges on your bill when you check out!

Room Tip: The rooms need ventilation and clean carpeting.

We stayed 2 times in this hotel (on our way to Sweden and back, 2 weeks later). The hotel is situated at an ideal location for a one-night break on the way from the south to the north via Denmark (or vice versa), as it is at only 1 km from the highway in a very quiet environment. The beach, which invites for a relaxing walk in the evening is at a distance of 20-50 m only. Spacious rooms, very modern decoration (those who like more "fluffy" furniture will find this too cool). Restaurant : mixed feelings (first time the buffet was really minimal, and of only average quality; the second time we ate in the Bistro, and that meal was really excellent). Very friendly personnel, cleanliness almost perfect. There is no refrigerator or safe in the room. Also no air conditioning, but that did not bother us. This is not the type of hotel where I would like to stay for more than a few days, but for one or a few nights it is almost perfect. If you wish to empty the car before leaving it for the night at the (huge) parking lot be aware that the distances in the hotel are large, so that it takes a lot of effort to bring your luggage to the room.

Great view of the sea and the suspension bridge connecting Fyn to Seeland,The Best Western is a big convention type hotel - namely the public facilities are more important than the rooms.
Rooms are old fashioned and rather drab but the hotel is clean, friendly and proffessional staff and a great breakfast buffet included in the overnight stay.
All in all,I would recommend it for a good overnight stay in Nyborg on the way between copenhagen and aarhus.

Room Tip: ask for a sea view!

We spent three spontaneous summer days. And were very satisfied. The view over The Great Belt is magnificient, and location close to the water is pleasant. Breakfast buffet splendid. This place can house a large crowd for conferences etc, but here in july it was nice and calm. Make sure to visit the nearby restaurant Lieffroy for that special dinner.
The rooms are not very soundproof though. But the place can truly be recommended. The Tusindfryd wing with seaview 2. floor is a good start.

Stayed here in June 2013 as part of a bike tour (organized by Memory Tours - see separate review) of Funen, Denmark. This hotel is a party hotel as it has conference facilities with loud music blasting till midnight. Noise travels in the wide open area by the beach, and since hotels in Denmark generally do not have air conditioning, guests sleep with windows open, further exacerbating the problem.

During our stay on a Saturday night, guests continued partying on our hotel floor and in their rooms between 1 and 3 am, and slamming their doors as they enter and exit their rooms. When there are inconsiderate guests and the hotel has party facilities, there is really not much guests can do to avoid the noise other than to stay at other hotels.

Room Tip: No room is good when there is a party going on in the ground floor, and up on the hotel rooms.

A great view of the third largest suspension bridge in the world, a good location (just 5 minutes from the highway), a lovely, small indoor pool, some good art on the walls and a beach which is literally 2 minutes from the hotel make this a great place to stay. Free wifi, parking and breakfast add to the charm. We had a family room for 4, found it nice and spacious. Had dinner one night, which was average, nothing great. They have bicycles available for rent which we used for about half an hour. But enjoyed walking up to the beach and strolling along the water.

This is a typical hotel for conferences. The hotel is big and for some reason I always get the room most far away from everything. 8 minutes walk from reception to the room is not convenient.

But its a decent priced hotel where a few rooms has nice view over the sea and bridge, but I would certainly not spend a vacation here. One night was more than enough for me.

For a conference it is ok, but very boring.

Room Tip: Dont get one too far away from the reception.
