The whole region of Pelion has an mazing scenery: woods, olive trees, fruit trees and on the foot of it all the blue sea. We visited Pelion in August and there were some tourists, but most of them were Greek. And what we loved about the whole region was that fact that is was not at all crowded and also very clean. The people are very friendly and the prices in hotels and restaurants very cheap. So we recommend this region to anyone looking for a quiet and affordable vacation in Greece. It is not very far from Athens, and you should have a car. We rented one from the airport and drove on a very good highway four hours to reach the northern part of the peninsula. We stayed in Kissos, at Ria Rooms, a family run B&B, very clean and very nice, which has the advantage to have a marvelous restaurant: I Synantisi.
