The only positive i can tell is the location of the hotel, which is at the center of the city and we could go everywhere on foot. The room was very small, especially the fridge which couldnt fit more than two bottles of water. The furniture of the rooms was very old and not tasty at all, and the bathroom was very very bad. I can say it is too expensive for what it offers

I stayed in Hotel Nefeli for one night while on a business trip to Volos. The hotel is centrally located and there is free parking. My room was clean and there was free wifi internet connection which is a plus. On the other hand, the hotel looks pretty aged and it certainly needs some renovation, whereas my bed was really hard. Breakfast was pretty basic but I wouldn't expect much more in a hotel of this kind. All in all, it is a good option for anyone who needs a place to sleep for a night or two (especialy if he/she travels on business) and doesn't want to spend too much money in accommodation.

Nice hotel, in a perfect location.
Close the boulevard and pubs and bars.
15 min walks from bus station.
The hotel is older and that shows in the rooms.
Tv, phone, safe, mini fridge, airco that you can set yourself.
The rooms at the streetside are very noisy. The windows dont close very well and let a lot of noise in.
In had a good deal, so for me the value was very good.
But if you have to pay the full price it is quite expensive.

Room Tip: Ask for a room NOT at the streetside

Very good value for money, right in the city center, with all the shops and cafeterias near by. And very good access to the city's port. It is very quiet too even if it has a main road infront and busy streets.

Negative aspects:
1)noisy. Facing a lively street, but without good acustic isolation.
2)dirty. Stains everywhere (on the floor, on the table...). The poor condition of almost every piece of furniture, and of evert element of the bathroom probably prevents from cleaning properly.
3)Very uncomfortable mattresses.
4)unsafe. Balcony door can be open from the exterior. The balcony is in common among many rooms, and the separation glass does not prevent neighbors from peeping (and from passing into your balcony).
5) too expensive, given the previous points.
positive aspects:
1) the position: close to the port and in the city center;
2) the kindness and availability of the personnel.

Room Tip: As always in Grece, ask to see the room before agreeing to stay. In Grece the entrance of the hotel...

I needed to get to Volos in order to catch my flight back home. I was looking for some cheap accomodation and ended up booking Nefeli Hotel, which had a good location from and to the bus station and decent rates. I booked a single room last minute and got it for 45€/ night, including breakfast.

I got in late at night and had my flight the next morning so I didn't have much time to check out the hotel, all I needed was a place to sleep for the night.

From Volos bus station it was a short 10' taxi ride but you could also either catch a bus or walk as it's not that far. I called the hotel before arriving in order to know how much I should expect to be paying for the taxi ride as I was a bit afraid to get ripped off by the driver. I ended up paying the right price - 5€, which I thought was ok.

The hotel was easy to find and had a good location close to a main street with shops of all kinds, banks and a bus stop around the corner.

The reception looked nice and the staff was welcoming and spoke good english. They have 24h reception and wifi access (which I didn't try since I didn't have a laptop with me).

I got a big, clean 2 bedded room with a little bathroom, a little balcony and a tv. The bathroom looked a bit old but it was quite clean so I couldn't complain. The only problem is that it got cold at night, as the temperature had been dropping down the previous day and I didn't check if the heating could be turned on or not. As for the breakfast, it was included - basic but fine (eggs, cakes, bread, cereals, juice).
