One of the best aspects of the hotel is that it is right in the middle of the city, if you want to walk along the river or to go to the cafes, tavernas, etc. There is a public parking lot nearby; I left my car there for 2 days and noone asked me for money.. :) It could be difficult though to find parking space around the hotel, since there are also many pedestrian streets around.
The hotel staff is friendly, however the hotel itself is in serious need of renovation / improvements. I think it is just too much to pay 80€ a night for a lumpy matress, that could give you bachaches, a noisy airconditioning that you must have on to warm the room up, and a cheap breakfast. The hair on the shower drain was als o quite frustrating..
I did not enjoy my stay there, and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone else, unless you MUST stay in Trikala. Otherwise you could try Kalambaka a town just 20-30mins drive away from Trikala, or Elati which is a winter resort 30mins drive with pretty guesthouses.
