“Apartments Althea”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

Just returned from two week stay at apartments Althea in Agnondas. These excellently furnished aparatments some 20 meters from the beach offered my family feeling of being at own home. Fresh linens and towels every two days, vast balcony where we enjoyed our meals,TV and free Internetand abobe all Mrs Lena, the owner who now and then brings in some cakes, olive oil, free coffee etc. We cannot wait for the next year and our stay here. The beach with crystal clear blue sea, free sunbeds and umbrellas, two excellent restaurants, cafe, small shop amazingly well stocked - what can one ask for a better holiday.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Agnondas (Agnontas) beach is a typical traditional cove style beach, easily reached by road from Skopelos Town. Driving will take about 20/25 minutes but you could also get a taxi or the local bus if you do not have a car. If you do have a car you MUST take a look at the cove from the road that winds out of Agnondas on the Lemnonari side (the one opposite the harbour wall) as the view is stunning and you can really appreciate the crystal clear waters and natural design of the cove.

The beach itself is quite small and is pebbly but don't let this put you off - it seems to be a regular beach for many people and it is easy to understand why. There are two tavernas right on the beach and both are a great place to have lunch, dinner or just a cold drink whilst chatting away for a while. The sunsets are said to be fantastic. One of the tavernas has many tables under an old tree right on the beach and this provides a good amount of shade from the sun whilst allowing you to sit a few metres from the lapping waves.

Whilst we did not swim in the sea we did see many people enjoying the cool water and getting in and out of the water was easy. The cove appeared to be great for all kinds of people - there were toddlers playing at the waters edge; teens playing ball a couple of metres out and people snorkling. The cove is a great place to spend time, either a full day or just a hour or two enjoying the offerings from the tavernas.

Beautiful beach with small pebbles and the clearest water. Perfect for small children. Used by local people, but never too crowded

We found this lovely beach a short drive from where we were staying. It really is lovely. We sat doing nothing for ages, so peaceful even in August. We ate at the fish restaurant, probably the most expensive meal of the holiday but by far the best! The only problem was the wasps which drove us mad, the staff did their best smoking the little monsters away but were a real nuisance.

“Tranquil spot with seafood tavernas”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

A quiet bay and small beach with two tavernas specialising in locally caught seafood. About 7k from Skopelos, but so quiet, it feels like a world away. An ideal spot for dinner watching the sun go down.
