The Dionyssos is a lovely hotel ,clean ,comfortable and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel chef Vassillis had a great sense of humour and started off the day well for us with laughter. The breakfast was good. The hotel doesn't have a lift or a porter so getting luggage upstairs could be a problem for some people. The hotel is also up a hill. Skopelos is a beautiful place.I will certainly go back and would stay at The Dionyssos again.

This hotel made my trip to skopelos very special.. it was clean, friendly with a wonderful breakfast chef called vassilis, who had a great sense of humour and friendliness..all the staff were very helpful and friendly.. the hotel was quiet, close to the town.. and the afore-mentioned hill is easily doable and helps walk off the excesses of the great breakfasts.. which are buffet style..the pool is great as is the bar...we were there too early in the year for the barbecue i think.. but i already want to go back again.. Skopelos is a beautiful place and i loved it there..If you go.. try the alexander taverna in the old town.. it can't be beaten for traditional greek food..

Room Tip: the best rooms seem to be those high up at the back.. the balconies get the sun in the afternoon and...

I stayed here in August 2012. The hotel is in a perfect location. It's just out of skopelos town. Only a five minute walk to the town and harbour.

The staff are very friendly. We had a very unsociable start time on our way home and they had breakfast waiting for us which I thought was very sweet. The breakfast is traditional greek which I enjoyed but I know how people like theire fry-up, well you don't get it here but the food is good and fresh.

The rooms are big and very clean. Everyone who visit Greece knows the toilet situation so I don't need to mention that.

The pool and pool bar is nice. They also do a bbq Saturday night but you have to pay for it.

There's so many restuarants in Skopelos and again staying here you are near to everything.

It was a great hotel and I had a very enjoyable stay. My only fault with the hotel is that I didn't like how the safes were in reception and not in the hotel rooms but they are lockable which is the main thing.

We are clients travelling to Skopelos for the past 15 years. We have been staying at Hotel Dionyssos for the past 7 years and must say we enjoy our vacations indeed. The hotel is very clean ( towels are changed on a daily basis and the bed linen quite often). The rooms are cleaned and tidied up every day.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic, there is a good variety of food.

Stayed in Skopelos for the first time and 'wow' what a wonderful place. We have stayed in a few Greek destinations and from Skopelos travelled to Skiathos. The hotel was ideally situated, just out from the town within a quiet location but within walking distance. There is a nightclub nearby but you couldn't hear the music once you were in the hotel. The hotel is very traditional with lots of Greek artifacts and the staff are very welcoming. The chef and young lady who serve breakfast of a morning are so obliging and cater for your every need and they treat you as individuals. Breakfasts are to die for!!! So much choice. We even purchased some prunes from them to take back to Skiathos for our weeks holiday there. The rooms are spacious and very adequate even though they may be a little dated. They were cleaned everyday and the views from the back are stunning. The town is so quaint and there are lots of narrow streets that lead to exciting places. The shops are great too and the shop keepers friendly. The town is shut off at night so you can miander along the front which is safe and also gives a nice feeling not having to dodge motorbikes or cars. You can sit and watch the ferry come in from Skiathos and other boats from neighbouring islands. The town beach is not very nice but an excellent bus service runs from the port which allows you to visit other beaches on the island. These beaches are superb. It is quite expensive to stay here but it is a delightful place. We are desperately trying to book again for next year as it is such a special place. We love Kefalonia but think Skopelos is a very close contendor! It's a Greek island you must visit for definite.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the top floor at the back. The front rooms look out to the sea and over the t...

Friendly and competent staff, good breakfast buffet and good Location in Skobelos Town near the harbor and yet away from tourist noise. But the hotel has seen better days. Rooms are worn, there is no cistern on the toilet, and cleaning is poor as dirt behind the bedside table. In addition, the hotel is up a steep hill, so it is not recommended for physically disabled.

Dionyssos is the real deal when you are visiting Skopelos. If you are looking for an authentic greek vacation and not a 5-star spa hotel, this is the place.
It has basic hotel rooms, but the ambience, the pool area, the location and the service is what makes it great.

Pros:
Excellent excellent service
Nice and big pool area
Good aircondition
WIFI in lobby and pool area
Very close to Skopelos Town center
Breakfast included

Cons:
Somewhat hard beds (We slept fine though)
Dated bathroom
Wifi only functioned every other day during our stay

We would definitely recommend it to all who visit Skopelos Island
