“Dirty Beach---Skoupidaki as Greeks say”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

As some other people pointed out, don't waste your time here. We saw garbage floating around in the water and luckily we had driven here and didn't waste the money to take a boat as others had. There are so many more beautiful beaches to see in Skopelos, so don't waste your time here. Top beaches: Panormos, Kastani, Milia with these three you don't need to go anywhere else to swim!!

“a nice small beach with a tavern”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

The beach is small but nice (pebbles), clean and quiet waters. There is only one tavern there - a family one, where we had lunch. Tasty food, perfect service, a bit expensive.

“small average beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2012

Glisteri is a small beach not very far from the Skopelos port which is very famous for the Mamma Mia movie. I really have to watch the movie again to check at which point you can see this beach in the film, as I don't remember right now. As I read and saw there is a very small pier which is connected to a locked door which leads to a very long passage goes up on the hill. There is said to be the film's "Villa Donna". But you cannot see it from the beach. There is a famous and good tavern there. The half of the beach is organised and with 5 euro you can rent an umbrella with two deck-chairs for all of the day. The time we went there, it was a little windy and in the sea were many rubbish and plastic bags. One man from the tavern was collecting all rubbish. The tavern has got very nice food and it's a good idea to have your lunch there.

“Plastic bags and Jellyfish.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2012

We were attracted to this by the idea of a secluded cove beach which we would be taken to on a ferry where we could relax for the day, knowing that there were facilities because there was a restaurant right on the beach. The girl giving out the leaflets for the ferry said there would be no charge for the sun umbrellas or loungers she lied they cost €7.
The ferry was simple but functional however this was the start of the season and quite quiet so we go a seat if there were more people on board I would have expected it to be quite uncomfortable.
They were trying to tidy the beach when we were there by fishing out the plastic bags and jellyfish but I think they were having a loosing battle, the impression I got is that the cove seems to attract everything that floats past and there seemed to be even a thin scum of grease on the water.
As beaches go it was average for Skopelos, pebbly and not too crowded.
We thought the restaurant would be of benefit, wow were we wrong, I will review this restaurant in the restaurant section but to sum it up I would say revolting toilets and substandard expensive food.
Basically I would say there are much better places to go visit and if your just going there to see the arch used in the Mamma Mia film go by hire car then you don't have to stay long. You would have to pay us to go back here!
