“Mandraki Beach Koukounaries Skiathos”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

This is a must if your going to Skiathos! Such beautiful stunning scenery. One little taverna which serves food and drinks, the herby chips are to die for! Mary and her family do a great job keeping the beach immaculate, and has had visits from Kurt Russell and Goldie Horn!

“Mandraki Elias Beach and Nature Reserve”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

This pretty little sandy beach is one of a number on this part of Skiathos which has a very basic taverna and toilet facilities but is well worth a visit if you enjoy a nice shady walk through the nature reserve pine forest. Jump off the bus at stop 23, and rather than going to the very popular, very lively and commercial, Koukounaries beach, cross the road and follow the sandy track for 20 minutes. There is a choice of three main beaches, Elias is framed by dunes and cliffs and a rickety slatted path keeps the sand out of your sandals. If you like loud music and a party atmosphere this is not for you; Elias is a chilled beach and much quieter than the teenager haunts. The food is good; Greek yoghurt, special omelette and hand cut wedges were fantastic!

“Disappointing”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Found this isolated beach five years ago but had lost a lot of it's charm and sparkle on this occasion, used to be quaint with a lovely taverna this is now a caravan serving food and drink, thought we had gone to the wrong place initially think may have been subjected to some bad weather.
