“Walk, don't drive to this one”

Small and well formed, the beach is in a quiet little bay populated with a number of palm parasols available for hire for 8 Euros a day, inclusive of a couple of sun beds. A small cafe, a rudimentary toilet and a rustic door masquerading as a changing room comprise the only facilities. But it's wonderful! The best bit is taking the half hour walk through the beautiful pine forest having disgorged ourselves from the bus. It's a time to savour some silence and commune with what's around you. Those that turn up in their cars and 4x4s miss out.

“a cute beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

We found mandraki accidentally and we really liked it! It is a very small beach with a cute beach bar. The scenery is very romantic and it is almost never busy. The only thing that one can find disturbing is that the sun sets really early on this beach.

Lovely beach with a slight breeze blowing most of the time, little taverna as well, had a nice chicken souvlaka and ice cold beer here.

“one of the best beaches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

Mandraki is one of the best beaches on the island! It’s like a paradise; big beach, lovely beach bar and a romantic sunset.. It is perfect for families. The water is very clean and deep blue. We went there once and we returned twice!

“My favourite beach.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Superb sand, more of a breeze than on the south coast beaches and less developed. The taverna serves basic food, but oddly no ice cream (to the great disappointment of my 7 year old son!).
