The property is very well located vlose to the port and the beaches. As with all properties in Skiathos I would always recommend a car or bike. The bus service is iffy and the island hilly so I would say get a vehicle/bike. The apartments are decent, great views, nice bathrooms and decent Aircon- nothing fancy. A few blocks so make
Sure to request the newer block.

We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel, room was cleaned daily, unbeatable sea views from all rooms, manager was really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, everything you need for a enjoyable holiday in Skiathos, we have visited Skiathos on four occasions and this is by far the best hotel with the best views and we will definitely be rerunning.

Booked these apts due to the tui brochure and the promised fantastic view.
Yes lovely view but that's all, and due to skiathos landscape most of the accommodation on the island gets a view.
On arrival we didn't really expect great things due to knowing Greece well, it's basic.
No rep was available.
2 very steep hills to go down to the beach and pool and to walk back up again. Yes I know skiathos is hilly but this place should be called heart attack hill, not ideal for anyone with any medical condition or walking issues.
Sun beds on the beach are 8€ a day.
The pool is very clean, easy access and has a child pool but the surrounding area is very very neglected. Grass has not been cut for weeks, no flowers to give any colour, disgarded Sun beds and cushions thrown around. Old flower pots thrown around the area. Trees overgrown and dead. Beer bottles and glasses left on tables for days.
Not very pleasant surroundings
No WiFi that was promised in the brochure.
The apts like I say are basic but come there is basic and basic.
Air conditioning was 6€ a day, but sometimes when we turned the TV on the air con came on instead ??.
They are self catering but very little equipment to allow self catering if you wanted to.
There is a kettle that was so grossly furred inside resulting in the water tasting awful. Tip: take some oust if you stay here.
2 metal rings on a plate that's plugged into the wall. Didn't use it so can't comment.
No toaster or microwave.
Decent shower but water goes everywhere and I'm almost sure it's mixed with sea water as it tasted salty,or its just their water pipes.
Towels changed daily if placed in the shower but as hard as rock.
Beds are clean, sheets changed every 3-4 days but the beds are so hard I'm surprised I didn't develop pressure sores.
Adequate crockery and utensils but the cupboards smelt disgusting.
Staff were not particularly friendly, in fact we hardly saw anyone.
Plenty plug sockets.
Tiny very old TV. Poor reception, only English channel was BBC news. Sometimes.
Sorry won't return.

Room tip: Ask for lower building as there are 2 apt blocks so you only have 1 mountain to climb.

This was our first visit to Skiathos. Discovered there would be no allocated rep for this establishment on the transfer bus from the airport. After flying in a 757 with the smallest seat pitch both my husband and I have ever experienced... We were put off the bus alone on the main road and advised hotel was back a way the rep didn't know exactly where as she'd never visited the place. That was the start of our much looked forward to holiday.

The apartment was at a price point and we weren't expecting much. The apartments were clean and had fabulous views there is nothing else to say about them. They didn't meet our expectations of convenience of amenities and the photos posted on TripAdvisor are of the renovated block (we believe) we have always travelled small and friendly with thomson's and prefer small family run establishments. We decided to ask for reallocation of accommodation ( very happy to pay extra) we only had a number to ring ( having no allocated rep) we spoke to a lady who was based in Majorca !!!! ( she was very sympathetic but unable to help obviously)

Cutting a long story short there was no local useful help from thomson's, they'd over booked, had not enough rooms to go around let alone deal with our request to upgrade, we were advised to use booking.com!!!

Booking.com came up trumps - reserved and moved to a new place within 3 hours

A valuable lesson was learnt.... in future we will use budget airlines and independent travel experts like trip advisor and booking.com to arrange future holidays.

If you expect support from Thomsons at Vassilias beach apartments don't book with them. Because there is no allocated rep just a phone number of a girl based in Majorca.

I stayed there for 9 nights in August 2017 and everything was perfect. Beach is 50m away and the most important that it's not crowded (number of people just like there should be), very helpful staff in hotel, clean and cozy apartment, great terrace with the view and you are 3 km from the Skiathos town.
Mr. Manulis , the owner, is very nice and very polite and helpful. I will certainly stay there again.
