First of all, I would like to give 0/10 to TUI, after I contacted them a few days before our holiday having read some shocking recent reviews on Trip Advisor. All I got was copy and paste generalised responses not answering the specific concerns in these reviews. In fact, I received an identical statement from 3 different people, 1 from the TUI pre-travel email address, who then ignored further emails, and 2 from @TUIUKcares on Twitter. I was desperate for assurances that these issues had been dealt with, and got nothing from them!
The Belvedere was clean and bright, with welcoming staff, in reception area and bar area and dining area. We were in the main building, and our room was a 'garden view' room - very nice and bright. Bed made up daily and towels changed every 3rd day. Only one pillow each though! The view wasn't pretty, not a garden at all but the side of the 'cliff' that the bungalows above were built onto. So I never sat out there. Air con didn't appear to work but the temperature was fine for us so we didn't report it. Always lashings of hot water in the shower. Food choice was good for me and I'm a pescetarian. Always a fish or shellfish option and selection of vegetables, roast potatoes and fries. Lots of salad options. The bar service was always good in the evenings with staff always happy to serve us. If nobody there in the day just ask reception for bar service. The pool area is what needs updating. Shabby, and only 12 sunbeds and pool bar never open. I didn't go in the pool as it was after the recent bad weather, but those staying for 2 weeks said it had been fine the first week. 2 couples were moved down from the bungalows. The water supply to their bungalows was poor. It was non-repped by TUI - they never came near the property. We got a taxi to the airport at the end as the information said your cases went first at 8 am. As it turned out, this didn't happen anyway, so that was a waste of our money, but only 20 Euros. TUI service I felt was disappointing on this holiday, and we have travelled a lot with them. I will tell them so on their questionnaire review!

Room tip: Get a seaview room in the main hotel

DONT stay here, me and my girlfriend stayed here on our first holiday together and it was sh!t. TUI lied to us on how nice it was and how it was child free and how pleasant the hotel was. well the hotel manager likes to argue and also lie, we had no hot water for 3 days until we were moved in the hotel. the bungalow is up the side of a mountain about 140 steps away from the pool and you had to pay for bottled water for your room, bearing in mind this was all inclusive. pool bar shut the hole time we was there and the food was sh!t. i wouldn't even feed a stray dog what they were feeding us. we always bought food from over the road in the shop and the takeaway a bit further up. health and safety is non existent with a shower hanging on the wall via 1 screw and swinging in place. also dont forget you have to put your toilet paper in a bin you cant flush it. nobody mentioned this until we got there. ive seen B&Bs run better that this sh!t hole DONT stay here

How TUI can rate this 'hotel' a 4 star is beyond comprehension and I also will be fighting to get my hard earned money back . I booked a bungalow which turned out to be a crap room up 132 steps.. and very steep ones at that...That wasn't made clear when booking was is TUI? Our room was basic with a balcony. There was a wet room set up and a drain on the floor in front of the toilet which kept getting bunged up and caused a flood in the bedroom. The sliding doors on the wardrobe fell off in my hand. The smell of sewage in the room was disgusting. We eventually got moved after 6 days to a smaller room with a shared balcony. This room gave new delights such as bare wires from the toilet light , shower had no screen so EVERYTHING in the bathroom gets soaked, ants all over the balcony and in the room..even getting into the bed causing me SEVERE bites, tv mount on the wall seemed to be put up by someone drunk as it wasn't straight..paint spalttered on the balcony. The air conditioning unit attached to the outside of the room was leaking so we got wet every time we left the room..to be honest the list goes on. The cleaners came and changed the sheets and towels but didn't actually clean anything. The beds were so hard it was like sleeping on a table. The food was barely warm, most definitely not hot at all and was basically the same everyday. It got to the stage after 3 days of it that we just couldn't stand it anymore. In the evenings when guests are eating, the cess pit comes round to empty them...I mean..WHAT THE HELL...you can only imagine the smell. Pool is as described by the other guests an we didn't go in it at all. All inclusive drinks are as detailed by other guests. When 11pm comes all the lights are switched off as if they want you to leave as soon as possible. Staff were obviously winding down for the end of season and couldn't really give a monkeys about the guests. We had to hire a quad bike for the 2 weeks just to get up and down the hill which cost over 400 euros...ridiculous
Skiathos is a very small island with plenty of lovely beaches, a fabulous harbour with lots of windy little lanes full of shops and bars. We went to Totem for some live music which was a great night out.
But whatever you do.....DO NOT book this hotel because you will be very very disappointed if you do.

We just returned from the Belvedere Hotel All Inclusive the only one on the island. If you think its a 4star hotel the same as in the UK you will be disappointed, you are staying in Greece and they are not the same ratings as the UK, so it is most unfair to assess it on UK standards. We had a brilliant holiday the weather this past week was windy & cloudy with occasional rain the first 3 days brilliant sunshine showing off a beautiful island. People were moaning at staff about the weather and anything they could which is most unfair. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a good choice in food each meal time cooked well which is typically Greek/Continental with chips at lunch and evening meals. The rooms were cleaned every day with bedding & towels changed every other day which is typical in traditional Greek Hotels. We saw the pool being cleaned of leaves etc early in the mornings. You can drink beers, wine, ouzo and soft drinks from 10 am all day and spirits from 9pm till 11pm which for all inclusive is a little limited but it was ok for us. If you stay in the bungalows you have fantastic panaramic views but there are a lot of steps as its on a hill side, however the hotel has a vehicle to take you up to your bungalow via the serivce road but you have to ask at main reception. There was an occasional smell of sewage which was caused from people putting toilet paper down the toilets which is a no no in Greece due to small pipes, but the hotel did have the cess-pit emptied early every day. We are proud to be British but at times when we are abroad I am ashamed at how the British moan and behave and expect everything to be typically British if you want this type of holiday then stay at home. This is a family run hotel and has had extensive renovations undertaken and they are trying to improve all facilities. We would definately recommend this hotel for value for money

Review to follow as we are going to bed, in a clean bed, which is quite novel after the stay at the Belvedere Hotel for the last 7 days.
What an absolute s..t hole of a hotel. Tui say it’s a 4* Hotel, it struggles to achieve a 1*...the worse hotel we have ever stayed in and we are in our 70’s. Skiathos stunning, the Belvedere Hotel is not...!!!!!!
We will fight tooth and nail to get every penny back from TUI....So so disappointed that TUI class this as a 4* Hotel and today I noticed that they have downgraded it to a 3*. Never saw a rep at all in the 7 days we were there. We had to get a taxi to the airport today as the transfer coach never came for us, which cost 17 euros. Food the same every day. We had to eat out every day other than breakfast. Spirits only served between 9&11. The Pool was filthy. We had the same bedding for the week. We had the same towels all week. The shower was broken, all the lightbulbs had blown and not replaced. We can go on and on and on. Please, this is no joke, do not waste your hard earned money on this hotel...!!!!
