This was our first visit, we booked it after reading the reviews on trip advisor and we certainly were not disappointed. Kostas and his Momma are brilliant hosts, nothing is too much trouble .
The apartments were very clean and had everything you needed, even a toaster and for the ladies a much needed hairdryer. The local shop was 2 minutes walk away, with 4 others less than 10 minutes which were a lot bigger
The restaurants were all fantastic, but we loved Sunrise and the hostess there Nicky is amazing, and it was the nearest, others include,Salt and Pepper, Victoria tavern, and Ratuoille, if you are there for 2 weeks, you can go to a different one every night, you certainly won,t be disappointed with any of them.
The beach is a good 15 minutes away, Sandy with sunbeds and a umbrella ,which cost 7 euros for the day, and they have a lifeguard on duty, also 2 bars for food and drink.
The buses run about every 10 minutes, remember this is Greece, but excellent value at 2 euros to get to Skiathos town.
Byzantium have a bbq night on Mondays and you pay either 18 or 20 euros depending on whether you want meat or fish ,all prepared by Kostas and his family, and as entertainment afterwards you listen to Groom Therapy, even if you don,t go to the bbq, you must listen to this band they are great, and the variety of songs are superb.
All in all a fantastic holiday and we will be back, along with all the others that return year after year
One thing ,a cockerel will wake you up about 4pm every morning, but I suppose it's all part of the holiday.
