I go to Alonissos annually but as I mainly visit out of season, I don't often get to eat at Castro. I took a friend along who was trying some Greek food for the first time.
It was a bustling night with the streets packed with people and eaters..which included a fire eating show too. The pork special that is always on was (as always) really juicy and full of flavour. The courgette balls were the new experience for my friend and she loved them. The wine was good, the service was great - the waiter kept apologising for being slow, when he really wasn't, so very sweet of him. All in all, well worth the clamber to the top of the island, a full recommendation
