you will eat there the most fresh fish in the island next to the sea in the old harbor of spetses! great location in the heart of the nightlife of the town! Minas, the owner, is a very professional and kind person. after food, visit La Luz the best bar of the island, within 1 minute walk from Tarsanas!

Yes it is expensive, but it is the one of the best places to relax your eyes and your mind, drink Ouzo with the best Greek meze fish eggs. I never visit during the high season but believe me from April to June it is a unique place.

The service was excellent even though the place was packed. The seafood is as fresh as can be. The only detriment was that it was at the end of the old port with little air movement on a very hot night but not enough to change the rating.

Tarsanas, located on a spit of land jutting into the old harbor is the perfect setting for an excellent seafood meal - I prefer lunch.
The food is a mix between perfectly executed traditional Greek seafood dishes (such as taramosalata and octopus) and creative twists of international dishes using the same extra fresh ingredients such as the unique bruscetta with fish-liver!
The setting is incredible as one sits in a tasteful and discretly luxurious version of the traditional Greek seaside taverna (you will not find paper or plastic tablecloths here). The service deserves is not flawless but all the personnel is willing and eager to satisfy.
I go back, time and again. It is expensive but if one orders carefully, doesnt get carried away with expensive bottled wines, and orders a meal of either starters and seafood items or fish and salad, the value of the experience is incredible.

A traditional fish tavern in the old port. A superb location, friendly service and good value. We always drink wine by the kilo if available, and the barrel wine here was very good. They also do great salads and the fisherman's spaghetti will serve 2 (they are good at recommending how many portions you need).

If you want great fish, cooked well, it is difficult to think of anywhere better.
