“Excellent location, average food”
Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

Service is extremely slow, food is normal but expensive (€11.50 for a Greek salad!). Eating on the beach is of course nice, but there must be a reason if this restaurant is rated 37 out of 40 restaurants by Trip Advisor!

“Great view, decent food”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

This beachfront place felt touristy and yet local. It's not in the hullabaloo of the center of town. There was a family playing in the water, who knew a group of older men (the only other people eating at 2pm on a Sunday), who seemed to know the owner (or be the owners?).
The tables were lovely, and just a couple feet from the sea.
The main waitress pointed out what vegetarian options I could get. I went with the giant beans, which were slightly warm and so yummy. I also split the arugula and Parmesan salad, which was good. My boyfriend had moussaka, which he said was amazing. The fresh tomatoes that came with the meals were red, juicy, and perfect.
Service was a little slow, and prices a little high, but who cares when you are sitting in the shade, watching the beautiful blue Mediterranean...

“Good location, but overpriced”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Prima has a good location on the beach in Kounoupitsa - only minutes from the town centre, but with one weeks stay in Spetses - this was the most disappointing place we ate. Service is slow (which not was the main issue whilst on holiday), food was mediocre and highly overpriced compared to similar restaurants/tavernas in the area. We had patates, saganaki, gigantes, aubergines, souvlaki, 1 soda, 1 water, 2 frappe and paid € 44,50 - whereas we normally would pay € 35 for the same elsewhere.... So my advice : go somewhere else.

“good food, but overpriced”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

I guess you pay for sitting on the beach as you eat. As locations go, it doesn't get anymore classic - eating your authentic Greek meal while your chair sinks into the sand/pebble beach. The food was good and presented nicely, Prices were a little higher than some other restaurants with similar food.

“A seaside tavern for a lunch in the sun”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

A few minutes after the port of Spetses, in the Kounoupitsa area you will find two ouzo taverns, with tables right on the sea. The first on the side of the city is Prima.
It serves mainly seafood and is an ideal place to take a light lunch with ouzo or beer.
The food is mediocre and the "homemade" eggplant salad we tested was unacceptable. The octopus in the grill was also not good.
The service was relatively good, moreover, there were a few customers, in contrast with the adjacent ouzo tavern.
The cost for two persons was 42 euros, without drinks.
Despite some dissatisfaction from the poor quality of food, the weather was good, the sea calm and our table almost in the sea. This beautiful environment, has helped to spend a lovely noon time.
