We waited for the 1:30 p.m. tour for 25 minutes. It clearly stated on the door that there would be an English speaking tour at 13:30. Once were were let inside the courtyard we found out that there could not give a tour in English until 5:15 p.m. We did not have time to go back.

Dear MamaCass

I just read your review and I am very sad to see that we were unable to offer you an English tour at the advertised time. We do our very best to fit everyone in and I can only guess that one of the guides was sick that day. I would like to send you our Museum guide book which is in English so please let me know your address. Of course if ever you are in Spetses again, please do come to see us and I will make sure you have the best tour ever.

A great self guided tour of the history of the island of Spetses. We were surprised to find Bouboulina's bones are housed in a box at this museum.

Iconic musuem on Spetses Island, very well preserved. The tours are on a daily basis and are worth every penny, which is not as much. It would be agood idea to read a little bit of Spetses historybefore visiting this musue

Bouboulina's Museum should be visited by all visitors on Spetses Island. It is basically the mansion of the Greek heroine Laskarina Bouboulina, who sacrificed her life for the Greek Independence Revolution. The mansion is well preserved with personal items of her that really make a difference. Staff in charge of the tour are very passionate and really enjoyed listening to the historic events of that time and about Bouboulina's life.
