I am visiting this nice, with superb view tavern, every time I visit Spetses Island. I prefer out of full season (July August), then you have the chance to have a table on the front balcony over the sea. The owners will propose you the day dishes, great dishes even with cheap but daily fresh fish.Trust them you, you will be totally satisfied. Yogurt with homemade fruit jam is offered as a dessert. Yes I am a fun of Patralis tavern!!!

This restaurant has been in the same family for many many years. The family photos are on the wall of the father and great grandfather of the present owner. Great fish menu with lots of choice all their dishes are guaranteed to be excellent.

Great food and great service from a family devoted to making good Greek food. It is located in a great spot overlooking the water or in a garden.

I ate there several times and every dish was delicious. Thanks Nikos and Argios!

This is the best taverna on Spetses, hands down. Third-generation family business, headed by two brothers (Argios and Nikos -- sorry if I misspelled it), this is the real deal. Good hearty Greek food in a seaside setting. We had mezas for a crowd of 35 and the group raved. Another night we had the swordfish ala Spetses and it was another crowd pleaser. If you need special accommodations for a group (e.g., vegetarian options, options for lactose intolerance), this is a great choice!

The place is noted for the seafood. There were four of us, two of whom had the specialty lobster spaghetti (each person has a lobster cooked in a tomato based sauce and then mixed with spaghetti). It was wonderful. Two others shared a whole fish which at 80 euros a kilo was barely acceptable. Rather than the traditional grilled fish, it was blackened and undercooked with a wierd taste. Too bad for a famous restaurant.
