We stayed 3 nights in April 2014.
The hotel has a great location, just a short walk to/from the port. Angelica is a beautiful hotel and our room was beautiful. Very good breakfast. Our room was quiet and I either couldn't hear the roosters or else I slept right through them! Terrible internet. There was not enough bandwidth even though there were very few guests sharing the internet during our stay. For me this is a huge negative.

We visited Hydra fror the Eros run on April 5th for 1 night
As expected , the island was great, no cars are allowed on the island, no bikes, just donkees and stong feet

The hotel was cosy, warm and friendly, A tully enjoyable experience for a small faminy

As piece of advice for the young couple with babies. Most baby trolleys are no match for the hard rocky roads on the island

The hotel is lovely situated close by the port of Hydra. Only a five minute walk, easy to find. Very (!!) friendly staff, great breakfast (even though we were late, sorry for that) and very comfortable room. Money well spend, we love to return sometime.

This hotel was beautiful and unlike most hotels in greece. That is the bathroom was a very good size and the shower was huge. We came to expect that mos bathrooms would be small and were not put off by it but this was very welcome. The room was elegant and had a nice balcony.

Also, the two gentlemen working the recepion desk were very nice and accomodating. We spent a little , more here because we didnt have reservations elswere but it was worth the cost. I would recommend checking prices first and makin a reservation in the high traffic season.

We (a couple) stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in August time.

It is quite far from the center/sea, so be ready to sweat a little bit while walking up to the hill for 10-15 minutes in order to find the hotel. Later, be ready to be confused because hotel is devided into two parts, which are separated by the road. It is a historic villa house, and the whole style and decorations are very pretty. Each room in our part of hotel had a unique name of some Greek mythological characters such as Athina and Themis. There is a lobby area with sofas and library of books in English.

The first bad impression that we had was the manager, who impolitely asked us not to put bags on the bed because he thought that they may put dirt onto the sheets. Later, we tried to avoid him and sometimes, we were even scared to walk out of the room.

The room was big with some windows, which had ground floor view to the yard/street. The water in the sink is not to be drunk because of its bitter taste, so make sure you have some water with you to brush your teeth and wash your cups.

It was very clean but it was due to the maid, who liked to enter the room without knocking at 8-9 o'clock at the morning. It was quite awkward to jump out from the bed and appear half naked in front of her to kick her out from the room.

There were wifi and AC (which worked properly) in the room. Bathrobe and slippers were available for us in the bathroom. We also found there five types of Korres products (shower gel, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and milk soaps), which is a very big plus especially if you like to "take out" some souvenirs from hotel. :)

After check-out, the hotel can keep your luggage for some time if you need it with no charge.

In general, it is a pretty good hotel if not its bad service.

We stayed at this hotel with my husband in June 2013 and had a very good overall impression and experience. The hotel was simply lovely and the owner/manager made it so much better.
We stayed at the Armonia room which was actually a suite and was located on the second floor of the building that was located across the reception and the main building. The room had a sowewhat more classic atmosphere but had exquisite furniture and a lovely balcony where we sat at night and watched people pass by. The room was very spatious, clean and the bed was very comfortable as I have some back issues.
Breakfast was served at the teracce located at the main building and was pretty ok. Although it was a small kitchenette type buffet they served all types of coffee and had a good selection of breakfast items given the fact that the hotel is boutique(mainly cold cuts, eggs, cheese pies, sweet breads, deserts etc).
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Hydra. It is in perfect harmony with the atmosphere of the island, the owner is expectionally professional and polite and I would definetely stay here again despite the fact that it is somewhat pricy.

Splendid little boutique hotel, a truly dreamy old restored two villas in old Hydra.
Lovely details such as bathrobes, slippers, Korres products, wifi and breakfast. All of these make Angelica Hotel a truly gem.
