“Great climb”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

A good hard physical slog to get here from Hydra (especially if combined with the add on journey to Mt Eros). Take water (at least 1.5 litres), sun hat, sun glasses and sun block and avoid going during the hot part of the day if possible. This walk is best suited to a 7am start. The monastery is serene and peaceful and the chapel has beautiful decorations. There is a supply of drinking water inside the main door to the monastery (leave a donation in the box)
