If you are on Aegina make sure you visit this amazing temple. There was no queue to get in, modest entry fee, lots of very well laid out information boards and amazing views over to Athens. We walked here from the coast which was a 5 hour round trip. Theres a shop and cafe outside the gates of the temple which has a good selection of food and drink and great views over the other side of the island.

This ancient temple is peaceful in the morning sun. An easy bus ride from Aegina Town on the same route as the Cathedral Of Saint Nectarios.

Aphasia temple in Aegina island is hidden gem, which you can visit from Athens.
It is surprised of me to see this wonderful archaeological structure in a island. Aegina island, itself was worthy to visit during our stay in Athens, and it is a bonus to see such a good one. It looks very similar as a Poseidon in Sunion to me, who am not a expert in Archaeology. Still it looks beautiful. Only drawback is a transportation. It located a little off from town and a bus is not often. Better plan a transportation when anyone plan to visit it.

Limited information on site - get information handy before. The ticket will give you a very brief leaflet. Available parking on the bottom of the hill. Coffee and restaurant next to the parking. Bus will leave you on the parking. Allow 20 min max to be able to take the next bus down to Agio Nektario or Aegina Harbor. (2.20 Euro) - tickets available on the bus (have the small change, the driver has no change).
