Plethon Residence is a welcoming destination, set among the orange grove of the valley of Sparta. It is a good location if one opts for a bigger space than your usual hotel room, local non touristic sights and fresher insights of this beautiful region of the Peloponnese. Highly recommended.

Very romantic, stylish and peacful place. Located in the village just outside Sparta and in walking distance to beautifull Mystras. Сharming view on Mountains and orange , olives, pomegranate trees. Everything on profile pictures is true, even if you cannot believe in it.
Our most magnificant expirience in this greece trip.

The Plethon Residence was absolutely fantastic, from the moment we stepped through the door Desposyni looked after us, greeting us with a glass of wine!

Our apartment was great, everything we needed and more. I particularly liked the products in the bathroom, gorgeous! Big spacious balcony to sit and enjoy the view. It was so spacious, great for couples, friends or family's.

Breakfast was excellent, the breakfast room is lovely or you can sit outside. The food was yummy, a great selection of lots of tasty treat. I especially loved the pomegranate with Greek yogurt!

The decor is really nice, I love the whole style & feel of the place. You feel so relaxed and the scenery is stunning.

Desposyni is what makes this place really special & I would encourage everyone to stay here when visiting Sparta or surrounding areas!

When the gate of the residence opens, you continue to travel with smells of Greece... Lemon, orange trees and herbals all over.. Everything you need is there...
Don't miss to have breakfast outside in the garden with an outstanding view of Mistras...
Despoina will be there to explain everything...

We used Sparta as a base to tour the Peloponnese. We found the Plethon Residence on-line and we knew we had made the right choice as soon as the front gate slid open and we saw stone building built in a traditional style. The Residence is located about 5 km from the centre of Sparta. Despoina put her heart into making Plethon a beautiful residence for her guests, not only the comfort of the apartment but her hospitality. Standing on the sunny balcony and looking across the plain of Sparta to the still snow covered mountains spotted with villages every morning was a great way to start the day. Despoina built 2 storey apartments with all modern facilities and beautifully furnished with a full kitchenettes, a library, a/c, WiFI and (if you really need it) cable TV. Upstairs is a double bed with en-suite and downstairs there is room for 2 more people and a separate toilet. There is also a fireplace which in winter will add a romantic touch to the apartment. Outside is an orange grove and next door is a second building where you have a traditional Greek breakfast and in the evenings you can sit on a long wooden table and chat with the other guests.. Plethon Residence is kid friendly and Despoina is full of information about the entire region and can recommend places where locals eat and what is in season in the local market. Her grandfather lived there and built the original house (but that is another story). A car and GPS are necessary to tour the region - just make sure the GPS files are updated..

Plethon is located 3 km outside from Sparta when we arrived a gate opened and we found our self's in a orange groove! The smell was something extraordinary! everything was perfect a huge orange groove secure for our children to play as they like. Each apartment is very well done with all the utilities and a lot of space for a family of four. The view is breath taking, you have the mountain of Taygetos with the castle of Mystras.
The good thing about Plethon is that you are very close to a lot of things that you can do. You can be at the beach in 30 min, you have a lot of archeological sites that you can visit, museums etc. If you ask Despoina the owner she can help you to decide where to go. If you choose to eat at Plethon is definitely an experience, fresh products from the garden that you can pick by yourself, depending from the period of year, can create a Greek meal!!

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic with the best beds!! Later on i discover that the mattresses are made by Co...
