“Perfection for a stunning holiday. A must see!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

Ohh at last! After driving up the most stunning Taygetos mountain road we approached a pair of double gates that were remotely opened for us to drive through.

A stunning young lady was at the front door of the hotel and welcomed us in to the hotel. Really, a 5* reception. We felt very welcomed as from the gracious owner. A lovely classy touch..

We were ushered to our room and left to walk around the resort. It felt more like someone's home than an hotel. Comfy sofas, fire places, superb mattresses and stylishly furnished. Much thought has gone into the design of the marble floors and stunning bathrooms. Truely original.

Breakfast original and tasty with pancakes, cereals, jams, meats, cheeses etc....

Dinner was all home made and we tried goat. Very frightened to try something so new to us but truly tender and service 10 out of 10!
We will return.

Thank you.

Room Tip: All rooms stunning, chose mountain views to valley.

This is a real find - nestled in the heart of the Taygetus mountain range, it's a luxury resort and perfect in either summer (swimming pool area is fantastic) or winter (cosy fires lit in the rooms and bar/restaurant areas). The staff are helpful and friendly and Peggy, the manageress runs the resort with calm and efficiency - nothing is too much trouble. The hiking is pretty unbeatable with well marked paths and the views from the front porches of the beautifully decorated rooms are just astonishing.
Did not want to leave and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in the area. Roll on the next visit.

Had two nights here this week and will certainly be going back. It is easily accessible from the Sparta-Gythio road but beautifully situated on the mountainside. We had a 'suite' which consisted of a raised sleeping area, a seating area with sofa, chair and tv and a kitchenette so self-catering is a possibility. The shower was excellent and there was a good stock of toiletries and slippers and bathrobes. We also had a balcony with breathtaking views down the valley. Breakfast was included in the 90 euro per night price: a very good buffet plus eggs cooked to order. There is an all day cafe and a good restaurant. A swimming pool was being installed while we were there. The staff were all really helpful and professional. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating, whiling away an hour or so in the sun after our walk on Taygetos. The resort is ideally placed for access to a number of very well marked walks. Very good value.

Room Tip: We chose the white suite but apartments are also available.

A gem, hidden on the slopes of Mt Taygetos, one of the most beautiful places in Greece. The hotel is located high up, on the site Toriza, above the last inhabited village on that part of the mountain. The location itself is gorgeous, offering peace and quiet as well as breathtaking views of the mountain slope and the valley below. The resort is simply amazing: very tastefully decorated, spacious rooms, wonderful facilities, including a playground and a gym, a cafe and a tavern serving delicious traditional dishes at very good prices. Breakfast is a proper meal, including anything you can ask for: from home-made marmalades and cheese-pies to eggs and bacon!!! But above all, we were deeply impressed by the warmth and hospitality of both staff and owners, who really went out of their way to make us feel at home and we celebrated Easter with them as members of a big family. Definitely not to be missed, any time of the year, as the sea is a 30-minute drive away....

Very lovely place, very romantic and quiet, lovely details, gorgeous gardens and very well looked after. This is a great place for kids too, playground and lots of space for running around and exploring.

Room Tip: All are lovely and good sizes - perfection down to the smallest details.

We were amazed by the property itself but more so by the professionalism and warm hospitality of the staff. The hotel is located in a small vintage village called Toriza at Taygetus Mountain (850m height). We were privileged to stay at this gorgeous resort. Everything about this magnificent property is exceptional: the caring and professional staff; the unbelievable villas and tranquil surroundings; the rich breakfast buffet with local delights; the comfortable bed, crisp cotton sheets and duvet; the jacuzzi shower with piping hot water; the quiet residential location and the unforgettable ambiance of this majestic property. There's no doubt the staff at this astounding property fully deserve their #1 rating on tripadvisor. Truly memorable in every way. Other hoteliers should visit this luxurious resort to see how it's done right: prioritizing the client's needs, providing a truly exceptional experience in a comfortable and welcoming environment. We'll definitely be back!
