“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We spent one night "chez la maison Grecque" during March. The hotel consists of a twin old building. In the middle of the buildings during refurbishing it was located an elevator (an excellent idea for a hotel). Our room was a small room but very nicely decorated. The bed was a comfortable treasure of COCO-MAT. Since the entrance to the hotel we felt welcomed. The welcome drink, the warm cozy entrance-café-bar with the fantastic decoration, the enthusiastic staff the excellent breakfast, all these give an extra bonus to this hotel. The only issue in this hotel might be the noise (internal and external), we could hear the people next door and even though it is located in a quiet area during the week before carnival where we were visiting Patras during the night it could be annoying for someone with a very light sleep!

Me and my wife had a great experiance. One night is enought to feel that. In an area near the centre of Patras, in a calm road, with his luxery duble-bed and the design of the room in Art Deco Style, anyone can find the best value for money place to stay.

Good Job, "Keep walking"

We stayed at this hotel i July, 2013 and was pleasantly surprised in so many ways! The rooms were unique and extraordinary.
The service was superb, and after check-in they even served a drink at our rooms as a courtesy on behalf of the hotel!

The only negative observation was that some had smoked on my room earlier. This was very easy to smell, and I had to open the windows. ( This was only on one of the rooms though..)
But smoking in general is a problem in Greece as they still are allowed to smoke indoors.

The location was also good, we walked down to the harbour in 10 minutes.

This was an unexpected pleasure in Patras. This is a lovely restored mansion that has been converted into a boutique hotel very conveniently located in the center of Patras. The rooms are very beautifully decorated and feature marble bathrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable and unusual for Greek hotels or any hotels for that matter you have a choice of six types of pillows. Although Patras can be very noisy, this hotel is in a quiet spot with some parking in the front. The young staff are extremely nice and helpful and breakfast was heavenly. The price was also very reasonable.

This is a rare chance to experience a lovingly restored mansion in one of the oldest quarters of the old port city (Psila Alonia, where you will find some of the best restaurants in Patras). Parking is always a problem in Patras, but the street parking here is good (call in advance for help) and access to the port straightforward (staff are helpful). The rooms have restored 19th century decoration with 20th century comfort (Coco-mat). Breakfast is deliciously handmade. Patras has a fabulous museum and a very interesting old quarter (the hotel is right by the Roman odeion). Stay here to enjoy!

Beautiful and new hotel, with nice spacious rooms and very convenient position (5' walk from the centre of the town). Very clean and the bathroom very nice and clean as well. The breakfast is also very nice and handmade (not the same boring stuff as a typical hotel). The beds are very very soft, which can be good for someone or bad for someone else, depending on where is used to lie on. For the first night I couldn't sleep well because my matress is very hard (exactly the opposite of the hotel's matress!) but from the second night and on I did rest a lot.
What made my stay unconvenient was the temperature of the room: it was extremely high and I could not make it lower even when I adjusted the air condition to cool. The wi-fi alse did not have a good signal in the room but I changed positions and finally did my job after some patience. Also, the first evening I had to wait for some time to have hot water and another day they didn't have hot water at all but they said it was something wrong with the boiler, so after that day I found very very hot water anytime. And the last negative was that even if the room had satellite tv (nova) and I had been asking for 3 days from all the girls in the reception to adjust it so I could watch a specific satellite channel which they claimed they had, it never happened with different excuses each time. So I lost my favourite tv show because noone really tried to adjust the channel in the tv.It is not a big deal but I was annoyed by their behaviour as I believe they were just bored to do it. However, they were very friendly, smiling and polite in general.
I would stay in that hotel again because it offers very nice facilities and the price is relatively good.

Room Tip: Room 207 is nice (it is not as hot as the one I've stayed which was 106).

This hotel is lovely and definitely worth choosing it and the price we paid was very reasonable for what it offers. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean, and the hotel is well-kept, like new. The staff, at the reception and at breakfast, are very pleasant and accommodating. The location is quiet. The beds are comfortable and linen is of good quality. The only aspect of this hotel's services, which could be improved, is the breakfast. Although there was a wide choice of foods available to choose from and everything was tasty, I was rather disappointed by the cold pancakes and luke warm eggs. Still, I would go back anytime!
