I stayed here on a tour of Greece. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Although the beds were not the softest, the room was very clean and large. The bathroom was also large and clean (especially for Europe). The hotel had a excellent pool and beautiful grounds. The dinner and breakfast were also good (but not great). The staff was incredibly friendly, and they even kept the hotel bar open for our group. It is in a quiet location, and not really close to anything else, but Olympia is a really small town and there is not much there anyway.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in mid September. We agree with much of what Charlotte from the UK has written. Yes the hotel was quiet which was a pity as the staff are great and hotel still represented good value for money. Location ment a lazy walk into town and Olympia site. The buffet breakfast was probably the best we had in 24000km of riding around Europe on our motorcycle. Yes rooms were dated but comfortable and the bathroom was larger than your average European bathroom.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It's like stepping back into a time machine - the rooms haven't been updated since the 1960's and the bed is the hardest thing I have ever slept on. I think a slab of concrete is being used in place of a mattress - that's how bad it is. My husband has a sore back generally and he could barely walk the next morning. The rest of the hotel is just as bad as the rooms - the pool is full of dead bugs and mold and the WiFi barely works. Also this hotel is far from Olympia - don't bother trying to walk into town. In short - you would be better off sleeping on a park bench covered in newspaper. Seriously.

Room Tip: Don't stay here. There are no good rooms.

I was there 5 days with group of other people - it was unusual, because it is normally hotel for buses trips for 1 night. Hotel is located 15 minutes by walk from the centre Olympia. Only luxury in the hotel is a space - very large lobby, garden and spaced rooms. Equipment is a retro from ´70ties, but it is not a problem. Problematic were wi-fi (only in lobby and it falled down many times), no fridge on the room, 2 times I have not warm water at bath. Restaurant is only for order day before (group) and nothing special. Better is to go to eat to the Olympia. Stuff was very nice and pleasant. Our price wer 50 EUR/night, but it was extra price for a group. For individual trip is better to choose another hotel.

This hotel has seen better days.
I stayed here at the end of August and there were hardly any guests which created an eerie atmosphere given how large the hotel is.
It's situated in a great spot out of town, but you'd need your own car to get to Olympia.
The bed in my room has to be the worst ever and gave me back pain after 2 nights; the pillows were hardly any better.
This place needs a refurbishment, but keep the retro 1970s furniture which is great!

I stayed in this hotel with my mum and dad and it was very pleasant. They had a great swimming pool which we saw them cleaning which was good to see, it also has a diving board which my younger sister enjoyed. We only stayed here for a night and when we arrived it was very peaceful due to there being no coach trips. The staff were all very pleasant and the rooms were nice and clean. The only real let down about this hotel is that it is slightly dated and needs modernising however it really is no biggy and didnt affect my stay. We had dinner out that evening because at the hotel they weren't serving dinner due to there being no coach parties in. The lady at the desk recommended a restaurant in town which is very easy to get to by car however it was closed, but there is plenty more places to eat and the town is nice to walk around! We were looking forward to breakfast the next morning however it was a slight let down because there wasnt as much choice as expected (we think this may be due to not having many guests present). There is free wifi in the lobby which is lovely and spacious and nice to sit in and relax. There is also a nice bar and a huge dinning hall . This hotel was good value for money and perfect for overnight stays, people are being far too fussy in previous reviews. I would recommend it as a good hotel for an overnight stay as it has a great location for ancient olympia and the rest of the hotel is good but slightly dated! It is nicely situated with lovely grounds.

I stayed at the Amalia Hotel Olympia as part of a tour. It was for only one night, thank goodness. The room was very spacious, but is terribly outdated. The hotel was supposed to go under a refurbishment late last year, but I guess due to the situation in Greece at the moment, it has been put on hold. The beds are so hard, it was difficult to sleep on them. And the bathrooms have to be seen to be believed - very retro. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes drive out of town, so we caught a taxi (4 euro) to have lunch there and do some shopping. The staff were very kind and helpful.
