Our group thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this amazing museum. There are stunning exhibits. We benefited by having a local guide who helped us to understand what we were viewing. Allow at least two hours.

The displays of statuary and artifacts, etc are simply stunning and so well displayed by the Greeks that it made us feel that the Elgin Marbles should be returned.

We enjoyed our time in the area including seeing the original Olympic grounds but the museum is an add-on, not foundational.

A great museum at the site of the ruins. Item from 5th and 6th BC. Easily can spend an hour or more.

This is an excellent museum that will help you make sense of either what you have seen or will see on the archaeological site of Olympia. The winged victory (Nike) is particularly impressive when you remember the pillar on the site on which it had been placed.

The archaelogical museum in the area of ancient Olympia gives a good introduction to the history of Greece and the Greek, not only the olympic games. There are many statues and parts of them as well as other objects from many thousands of years ago and around year 0 in our calendar. Having walked through the actual area of the Olympic games and then coming to the museum you get such a good idea of how the people worshiped their gods (there are temple ruins of both Hera and Zeus), how they appreciated the athletic games and took part in them and how they looked like. Definitely a place to visit!

Very fitting way to get a better understanding of the site. Well set out with a lot of information about the site. Also some of the statues and artifacts that were found on the site are preserved in this modern building. A must see if you are visiting the site.

This is a great museum. It is better than expected. There are some great Greek pieces here that should not be missed. The crowds can get large here but they seem to be large tours that move through the building with gaps between them. They seem to have one of the most complete pediment of Ancient Greece.

I was in awe of the amazing ancient sculptures. Lovely!! My children were quite bored after awhile, but I loved it!

When the excavation site of Olympia is something for more prepared guests, the museum is fabulous and prepared for everyone who is interested in classical art and history. Most impressive for me was the very modern design of the exhibition of the remains of the thympanon of the main temple of Olympia
