We docked in Katakalon with Norwegian Jade on the 25 Jan, the day was cloudy which started to rain later in the day. Once off the port, you will find a lot of tour buses going to Olympia and only cost €10 for a return journey. You will be given approx 3hours in Olympia which personally I feel is sufficient since I am not really buff in history. The journey takes about 40mins and once there we had to purchase tickets which cost €9 for a combine ticket to the site & museum. (If you have a valid Student ID - the entrance is Free)
The museum is really a wonder especially the famous Hermes of Praxiteles. (You can take photos with no flash inside the museum but you are not allow to pose with the artefacts & take photos)
We still had time to spend in Katakalon before we set sail which was good. There is a very nice church at the end of the shopping street which is worth to visit. The 3 rows of shops on the main street sells touristy souvenirs. Bargaining is a must if you are really interested in the item.
