We were so excited after reading the reviews already posted, we stumbled across this hotel surfing the web and were initially concerned due to its reasonable prices and what seemed like unbelievable value for money.I have to admit though this hotel is one of the best hotels that we ve stayed . We stayed in Olympia for three nights and they soon passed by, the last morning arrived and we were really sad to be leaving. The hotel is perfect for all travellers and especially couples. This hotel is great i hope you are lucky enough to enjoy it too!

We stayed here for two nights as a part of the Cosmos tour to Italy& Greece. This was one of the first hotels which offered welcome drinks and snacks. The positives - Proximity to the Ruins in Olympia (5 minute walk from the hotel), Spacious room, fairly elaborate buffet at the hotel restaurant, nice and quiet. The negatives - Air-conditioning did not work so well.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as part of our Cosmos tour. This hotel is about 5 minutes to the Olympia Ruins & souvenir shops are just down the street and opened late. Our Buffet was incredible, one of the best in Greece for us! Even the Breakfast Buffet was almost similar to an English Breakfast! All Greek specialties on the buffet & good Ouzo afterwards!! We had a balcony & a nice clean room. Although my heart is in Italy, I would say that Greek hotels offer a bit more hospitably & service & do not cut corners. We enjoyed our short stay here & would recommend it for others,as our group was one of the first to enter the Olympia Ruins.

I spent one night here on a recent tour of Greece. There had obviously been some effort made to improve the hotel as the bedroom walls had been recently painted and the bed seemed to have a new matress. This did not make up for the very dirty carpet, torn sheets which did not fit the bed (kingsize bed with double sheets) ants in the 1960s hospital style bathroom, broken shower and grim food. I was glad to only stay for one night. The only good thing about this hotel (apart from leaving it) is that it is very central.

We were on a Cosmos Tour and rated this hotel one of the best.
We enjoyed exceptional food, both dinner and breakfast, friendly service and a large room with a view of the town. A king size bed, fridge, safe and hairdryer were also welcome extras.

As part of a Cosmos 21 day tour we (Mum, Dad and Kid) were booked into this hotel for our Olympia stop. We finally received a family room as opposed to a twin share with an extra bed.

This hotel seems to be under going a progressive face lift and our room had not been done yet.

The carpet was in need of a serious shampoo. The bathroom fixtures and fittings were clearly at the end of their life. The air-conditioning system needs looking at, with the temperature set at 15C I would estimate the room to be 25C even after three hours continuous operation..

BUT on the plus side this is the first European Hotel that has provided us with proper towels and the buffet dinner we had was superb. Plenty of choices and lots of it.

The room has a view over the local council chambers and a nice park that is being developed.

It is 5 min walking distance from the ruins of Olympia so makes an excellent stay for those visiting these historic ruins.

At 70euro including breakfast for a double / twin this was just fantastic. The room was immaculate, spacious and had a little balcony looking over the town hall and toward the site of ancient Olympia. In fact, this is the closest hotel to the site being within 5 minutes walk to the entrance.

Our room had a bath! A huge, clean bath! The beds were huge and really comfortable and there was air-conditioning and television as well as a safe and a mini-bar.

We found about about this place after staying a first night in Olympia and looking for somewhere to get breakfast the following morning. We saw a sign outside the Olympia Palace saying buffet breakfast for 6euro. When we saw the food we just couldn't believe it - it was a full Aussie style buffet with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bacon and eggs etc, etc. This won us over and we decided to change hotels and spend our second night in Olympia at this hotel.

A word of caution, though. While the reception staff were exceptionally helpful and professional and went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable, some of the waitresses (mainly in the afternoon and evening) were really, really rude - even for Greece! In fact, a couple of them were downright surly and beligerent. One woman told us we couldn't eat in the outdoor dining area because she didn't want to have to come out there to serve us!

Despite this "fawlty towers", moment the Olympia Palace was just fantastic. If you don't get to stay there, at least make sure you have the breakfast for 6euros - you don't need to be a guest to enjoy this little luxury.....
