Owner description: An unforgettable excursion to the family winery Olympia Land Estate which is into the green valley of Olympia and just 5 minutes from the archaeological site. The particular terroir of the region, the excellent microclimate, the clayey and sandy soil help our vines to grow healthy and very aromatic grapes in order to produce high quality wines. In the Olympia Land Estate you have the opportunity to be part in a tour which start with a walk on the vineyards where you learn about the cultivation of the vines, continue in the production area and finally in the cellar with the oak barrels. After the tour you will enjoy samples of our wines, our homemade olive oil and also other traditional snacks in the air-conditioned reception area. We are on your disposal to help you to organize quickly and easily your excursion which will be for you a memorable experience.

My entire family enjoyed the tour of their beautiful vineyard. It was just long enough so that even my children remained interested the tour. The place is beautiful, the owners are warm and welcoming and the olive oils and wine were wonderful. After the tour they set you at a beautiful table and provide you with a plate full of food that pairs well with the wines. The food we had there was collectively the best we ate in Greece! The cost was well worth it (only 8 Euros for adults and less for kids)

If you tour the Olympic site you must stop here next!

I was told by my Greek friends that Greece is not known for their wine production!! As a South African I am rather fussy about good wines, but how wrong were we proved.......Amanda is brilliant. The whole Estate is beautiful and quaint. The entire winery visit only cost us 8euro each which included a tasting and snacks. I have come to the conclusion that their dessert wine is the best I have ever tasted and has the most delicious after taste of burnt orange, well done and I wish you great success for any future projects.

We visited the beautiful winery as a family in July 2014. After taking a tour of the grounds and vines which are an an idyllic setting, we sampled some of the many lovely wines on offer. Keep an eye out for the red, which goes beautifully with the gourmet lunch provided, and the dessert wine which was lovely

We stopped at the winery after visiting ancient Olympia. Our taxi driver had called ahead so they were expecting us. The owner's daughter gave us a brief tour of the vineyard and grounds and gave us a little history of the family's switch from growing grapes for raisins for many years, to more recently growing grapes for wine. The tasting was in a very comfortable room where we tried 5 different wines, several of which we bought to bring home. The also provided a little plate of delicious tomatoes and cucumbers right from their garden, breads with different spreads, meats and cheese. Perfect light snack on a hot day. Truly a wonderful experience.

We arrived unexpectedly and the owner who was just about to leave kindly called his son who showed us around very enthusiastically. We learned a great deal about wine making in Greece and discovered lovely wines made by lovely people. It ended our visit of Olympia on a high note. We will fondly remember this passionate young wine-maker who is following the tradition of his inspiring Pappous (grand-father). Not only the wine was excellent but also the cookies, the olive oil, all in the setting of the pretty gardens maintained by his mother. It was a full experience and we highly recommend a visit of the Olympia Gi Winery.
