“Impressive stone work”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

Just down from the main site at Mycenae. The best of the beehive tombs. If you go,make sure you take time in the national archaeological museum in Athens to see the green attached column fragments that once adorned the entrance of this tomb; some are in the British Museum, but some are on the wall at the back of the Mycenaean hall in the museum in Athens.

“Worth the stop just for the huge stones”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2012

The largest stone is 120 tons and it is so high. It gets your imagination going about how they managed to get it in place so perfectly.

We could have so easily driven past but so glad we stopped. The site is very impressive and is a great warm up to Mycenea

“Very interesting Site”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2012

We saw this in conjunction with Ancient Mycenae - the cost was $10. You will need a guide or some description to fully appreciate the site.
