I stayed with my wife in September for a friend's wedding and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a room at the very top, with beautifiul views of the beach and surrounding areas. The rooms are excellent - clean, very spacious (ours had a double bed and a seperate single bed). Bathrooms are clean, but a little on the small side (when compared to the room itself). Balconies/ patio area is vast and includes table & chairs and a clothes airer for drying your swimwear after hitting the beach.
The traditional stone floors in the rooms add a very nice traditional touch. Housekeeping staff were pleasant and attentive. Rooms are decorated simply - which adds to the relaxing ambience in the rooms.
The staff were incredibly helpful and very friendly. They made sure all our requirements were met - when an iron we borrowed broke, they went and sourced another one. When we couldn't get a taxi to the chapel where the wedding was taking place, and we were going to be late, they offered to take us themselves. It was these little touches that really made a difference.
Breakfast was generous and relaxed, by the pool area.
We would recommend Messakti Village without any hesitation and look forward to staying again when we visit the idyllic island of Ikaria.More
