“The village with the special drawings”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

The uniqueness of this village is the painting technique the people developed to decorate their houses. Small graphical alleys that form a sort of labyrinth and scattered water pots all over the village. Worth seeing.

“Special houses, nice village”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

The houses of Pyrgi are very special, with geometrical patterns in shades of gray. It's a nice village, it's worth visiting it.

“Different architectural style to observe”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

We've been in Chios around ten days ago, so it was before the big fire. I read on the newspaper that Pyrgi is one of the villages under threat, hope everything will turn out good for the village. The architectural style is different, so outside of the buildings have very unique style. It is good to be lost in its narrow streets. I've never seen such a thing in any other places I visited in Greece, so it is very unique thing to observe.

“Beautiful medieval village”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

One of the most famous medieval villages in Chios island. As you walk on the narrow roads you feel as the time has stopped many years ago. The architecture is significant, the people are friendly. An evening walk for coffee or food would be a great choice.
