Stayed here for one night on a road trip through Greece, was taken in by the large number of positive reviews, location, and four-star rating. The hotel is in a very central place in Thessaloniki, and it is within easy walking distance of all the tourist sites and the main downtown area. Other positives of this hotel include the incredibly charming and helpful staff, who had wonderful restaurant suggestions, as well as the delicious, complete breakfast.
However, I would warn travelers that this is not a four-star property. While the rooms are clean, the double beds are two singles pushed together and the furnishings and bedding are somewhat dated. When I think of a four-star property, images of *actual* double beds and fluffy coverlets spring to mind, rather than small twins pushed together with worn (but clean) coverlets tucked around them. In the bathroom instead of there being hotel-size bath products there are full-size bottles, half-used, which adds significantly to the ick factor. In all when I return to Thessaloniki I will look for somewhere else to stay the night.More
