We loved this hotel! We walked there from the train station with no problem. The location is on a tree-lined street, and the architecture is fabulous.

The front desk clerk was very helpful, whipping out this huge blown-up map of the area and highlighting the route to walk to get to anywhere we wanted to go.

The rooms were clean and bright, and the a/c worked well. The TV had both CNN and BBC in English.

One warning, though, do NOT get the breakfast! While the coffee is excellent, you'll get a packaged croissant filled with what seems like chocolate pudding, and 4 pieces of dry white bread along with packaged butter, cheese, etc. Even for 5 euros, you could do better on the outside at any cafe.

We paid 39 euros/single and 50 euros/double per night and thought it was a deal. There is free internet which we used twice daily.

When i needed to stay for 2 days in Thessaloniki i wanted something low-budget, good reachable by the airport but also close to Thessaloniki's main tourist attractions. This hotel was definitely the right choice - the cheapest one available, only 10 minutes walking from the sea, the main square, all the major sights (ancient forum, churches, tower) and a shopping mile. A taxi from the airport to the hotel cost 15 euros as of September 2006.

My room was quite old but clean, the bed was good and the bathroom - although being very small - gave no reason to complain. Showering is a bit of a mess due to a lack of shower curtains, but the entire bathroom is tiled, so no problems here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers free Internet access through a few of their computers (no WLAN).
