Very nice rooms & the breakfast is amazing, also the swimming pool location in the hotel is great, I enjoyed my stay in there, we didn't had to go too far from the hotel to see the most attractions at the city but only 1 time when we had to go to a beach called ( KALLITHEA ) 150km away from the hotel but it worth to go there.

This grand palace is a beautiful hotel with good old fashioned service and large bedrooms.
When you are by bus or by taxi, there is nothing to worry about, the front of the hotel is situated to a large square.
But next to the hotel is a street where too many cars pass slowly too many young girls.

We stayed in this luxury hotel for 2 nights in the begining of September. We chose it because it is not in the center of the city ,so it was easy to park the car near .The stuff was friendly ,the room was spacy and very clean. The bathroom was also big and we had a small balcony with view to the main road .Breakfast was good ,could be even better. We used the

We stayed here for six nights as part of conference. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast and other meals were of excellent quality. The hotel offers a €15 buffet dinner which is very good value. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but is only about 15 minutes from Aristotle Square on the no 12 bus that leaves from outside the hotel. There is a Lidl supermarket just over the road which was useful for purchasing water and incidentals.
We anticipated lazing beside the pool in the Greek sunshine, but unfortunately the pool is buried in the bowels of the building (basement 1) and isn't at all conducive to lolling about.
The other gripe was the wifi; it simply couldn't cope with the demand from 100+ conference delegates, and was offline more than on.
But for €75 pn, we were pretty pleased with the value for money.

My general impression is that they just selected a poor spot for a very good hotel. The buffet style breakfast is very good and you can find everything you may or may not want. The rooms are also very good and clean if maybe a little bit outdated. So not everybody (I don't) likes carpet on a hotel floor.

The restaurant is from what I saw and tasted (from buffet style lunch) is very good.

Regrettably the wireless sucks. At least it is free and quite well organized but sometimes the connection breaks (not the wireless but seemingly the one which connects the hotel with the internet or whatever).

It takes about ten minutes with the taxi to the center which was at the time of writing this about 4.50 euros. The bus which runs very frequently from a bus stop more or less directly in front of the hotel (fare 0.90 cents -- bring your own coins).

So the only thing which really annoyed me was the noise outside during day and night. Without air conditioning it is best to open the windows at night to get fresh cool air. However this is not the best option if you have the room pointing to the North or East (I do not know about the south side). To the North there is a busy road and to the East there are the noisy vents from the air conditioning.

Room Tip: Rooms to the west (and probably to the east) are quieter.

For 68 euros for a double room per night and 5 euros for a taxi to Aristotle's Square you can relax, you will not feel robbed. The rooms are very elegant, furniture, however, is older, I guess it comes from the more expensive sister hotel, the bathrooms spacious and ordinary but clean. Service is very good, the staff is friendly, decent breakfast .For this price we were happy with. Realistically, a good 4 star hotel.
