We stayed at the Anatolia Hotel one night as a layover on our way to Istanbul the next day. When we arrived, we were greeted with a nice reception – especially the sales associate whom took time to give us many tips, suggestions and helped us sort some laundry service. The clerk who checked us in may not have had fluent English (much better than our Greek!) so our description of the property was very limited. We asked for rooms closer but only got our two rooms on the same floor. My daughters’ room’s Wi-Fi never worked, but they were able to join us in our room where it worked good. The next morning, our daughter’s room smelled mildly bad (perhaps some sewer gas??), so they vacated early. We never told the staff, so they didn’t have a chance to reconcile as it was no big deal for us. The rooms don’t have coffee which would have been a nice touch.

Overall, the rooms were very nice, clean and modern for the 75 euros each we paid. The bathrooms were very nice and the common areas were nice as well. The breakfast was good and the service in the café was great. Our daughter’s room had a nice view of the main street but our room had a view of the inner –court area which looked out onto dilapidated buildings that were not part of the property. So if a view is important, be sure to address your request up front. Also, be aware that if you pre-pay for your room during the “high season”, as we did to save 6 Euros, you are not able to get a refund if you cancel your reservations.

We would stay at Anatolia again while in Thessaloniki

Room Tip: Our room was 322 and the view as not good.

Driving round in desperation we happened upon the Anatolia and screeched to a halt, ran in to see if they could accommodate our family of five. Got a great price on a junior suite which was beautiful. Double sofa bed and double bed, the room was very clean, including the carpet, drinks facilities, minibar (not used) and lovely bathroom with deep bath. Included was a breakfast which was fantastic, good choice, fresh products in fact it was as if my fussy eater son had never eaten before, he was so happy.
The Tatar are what really made it, front desk were so polite, helpful and unpretentious, catering and auxiliary staff were equally polite and helpful. Not so far from center and free parking in front of the hotel, they said they provide airport transfers ne the health facilities look heavenly... Will try next time. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The junior suite was a great size!

The hotel, the rooms, service and breakfast all amazing! Location not so good. Quite far from the centre in a ugly neighbourhood. No paid parking! It is close to a Bozuki which was a lot of fun and something not to miss if you are there Friday or Saturday night.

The hotel is in general good. The staff are excellent, the building is modern and it's pretty centrally located, we walked everywhere in the city. The main problem for us was the free WIFI was a joke. It's so slow it's just frustrating to use and it's logs you out at random intervals, you can pay to upgrade but if you expect decent free WIFI you'll be disappointed. The rooms are modern but the carpets are fairly stained. Breakfast is ok. We found parking near the hotel on the side streets and had no problems although the one way system doesn't make it easy.

The hotel is still excellent, and the staff still very friendly. The downsides on our second visit was that the price has gone up but the rooms are getting old... the carpet in the room had big stains and looked dirty but there were no slippers available and the radiator in the bathroom was rusty and full of dust. Also charging for the wi-fi in our days is not a good idea when everywhere else is free!!!!!!
Breakfast is still good and the choice is big.
The neighborhood is ok and is pretty close to Ladadika if you would like to visit on foot.

It's a very nicely fixtures modern hotel with good amenities and nice sauna. Good value for money, better choose bigger rooms which are spacey, nice bathrooms, very friendly personnel and beautifully set breakfast room.
However, the location even though close to the center, within walking distance, is rather industrial and does not add to the character of the hotel.
