“I had my doubts”

We booked rooms at this hotel for our tour. Searching the google we found several references to this hotel and we just worry about what we will face but the result was different from what we expected. We arrived late at night due to flight delay. The only person at that time was the receptionist. We stayed for three nights. The hotel was fairly quiet although downtown. It was clean and the staff quite discreet, do not disturb our day sleep. We would recommend it if you want a quiet environment in the city center.

The hotel is in an historical building, looks quite nice, the location is perfect if you want to be in the city center, but the rooms are not for everybody's taste; some of the rooms concept is to very extreme of "kitsch" design with a lot of red and black, staying in some of the rooms can be overwhelming. They have 6-7 different concept for the rooms, we stayed in a room with a lot of mirror & everything in the room was red. We were there for holiday just for 2 nights, so didn't mind it much but it is definetely not for business travellers.
They have free wifi but very slow. We tried the restaurant next door for a breakfast, it was quite ok.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Andromeda is located just off Aristotle square and 30m from the sea, which is the very centre of Thessaloniki. The hotel is situated in an old fully restored building, the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Each room is decorated in a different eclectic style, which we found cool and funny. The entire hotel is boutique style, and the restaurant is frequented also by the locals until the early morning hours. The hotel faces east and north, try to avoid the northern side, because it gets noisy from the cafes located on the pedestrian street below. This hotel is mostly suited for couples and city trips, it may be not the best choice for small children or elderly. Take an executive or deluxe room, although it is odd that there is no work desk in every executive room. The staff is very polite and hospitable.

Room Tip: Take an executive or deluxe room facing the entrance of the hotel. These are more quiet and with bal...

Ten years married! My husband made me a beautiful present "a trip to Greece". For him it was business but for me pleasure! We arrived at the hotel at 13-11-12 and we stay for 6 fantastic days! When we arrived we have a little problem with our reservation but it was just a mix up. The receptionist change our room with a new one and finally after half an hour we stay in a beautiful room with Arabic style decoration. It was fantastic. The first night we ate at the restaurant of the hotel but in the next days we made little walks around the hotel and we ate at little local food stores called "tavern". The hotel have a good understanding about the privacy that we want and the flexibility at time schedule. Generally it was very relaxing and beautiful environment inside the center of the city. I sure recommend to visit Thessaloniki and to stay at Andromeda. Sorry for my English ;)

Room Tip: Rooms with decorations is a must for couples

This hotel has perfect location (5min from aristotelous street), friendly staff, clean and very nice decorated rooms. The only negative think was the music from the bars. But i think that this is not a reason to cancel your stay to hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We selected this hotel mainly for each location only minutes from Aristotelous square, which proved to be extremely convenient. From there you can walk the city very easily either if you want to go east or west the city centre. The service was very good and the room despite the fact that we did not like the white decoration of the standard room with view to the atrium was very nice. The only perhaps negative thing was the heat did not work properly and the room was a little bit cold. However, with 25 degrees outside this was not a great issue. The breakfast did not offer much variety but was exactly what we select in hotel breakfasts. Finally, it was weird the fact that there were 3 free adult channels on tv?? Maybe they pay tribute to the previous hotel company operated years ago in the same building.

We stayed here for two nights on a trip driving across from Istanbul to France. We booked this one the internet and were fairly sure that we would have an 'adequate' room in a great location. The location WAS, great (near the gulf/sea, and a 5 minute walk to the centre of activity). The room and cleanliness, however, were barely adequate.

On first impressions: The hotel calls itself a boutique hotel...which is code for 'every room can be different'. But the truth is that most of the rooms and the hallways we saw were a bit garish to our taste. Honestly, the decor, added to the paintings of female nudes and the abundances of darker colours (reds, browns, etc) in the halls made us feel a bit like the hotel was used for 'one-night getaways' more than the serious traveller.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but the internet connection didn't work in the room and no one could correct the fault. We didn't try the breakfast, but preferred to go out to a cafe just across the lane...which was much more lively and nicer.

The room was a good size, with high ceilings and beautiful, large, French doors opening to a quiet neighbourhood. The bathroom, however, was tired and had mould and mildew evident in almost every corner and at the wall/floor joins. There was a lot of hair in the bathroom...left or missed by housekeeping.

There was almost no parking (2 spaces), but we were lucky to find an open space at the kerb just in front of the next-door building. Security in this area, thankfully, was good, as a diplomatic consulate (and the 24-hour police watch) is directly across the road.

We will not likely book this place again. It was adequate...just. BUT, we would prefer something a little more classy and with a little less 'by-the-hour/night' feel.

Room Tip: If travelling in summer months and if possible, ask for a corner room. There will be two French win...
