Capsis Hotel Thessaloniki

A hotel in a convinient location in the city. Althought it used to be one of the best hotels, now it is mostly a hotel for school trips, or for teams who travel.
Not really clean. The breakfast was moderate and typical. Not of the best quality.Nothing special.
It wasn't quiet because it's next to a main road and there are construction works due to the new subway. Plus you could hear everything from the next room to the elevator areas.
The staff was polite and helpful but you could see clearly that there was no maintance work done for a long time.
Plus the area it's situated it isn't one of the best in the city. Must be careful during the night.

Room Tip: If you have a car you have to pre-reserve a place in the parking.

Visited the hotel and city for a conference a month ago almost I have only than great things to say
.Amazing location with just 5 mins walking from all the city centre attractions and shopping streets.
Very well organized for the conference ! Traveling a lot for conferences around Europe I am amazed with the way the people from Capsis have handle the conference .Everything was on time with a professional manner!
The rooms were also very spacious with modern touch and a lot of style !
The art galleries on the floors it's definitely something special that you don't meet really often.
When coming back to Thessaloniki, (hopefully for pleasure next time) I will definitely choose Capsis again .
I can't wait for that breakfast buffet again.
Very well done to all !!!

It was my 3rd stay in this nice hotel every time that I visit Thesseloniki I prefer this hotel because its comfortable with rich breakfast and very close to every where. If you go from the hotel to the left there is carefour market and little bit walking you will find the center. If you go to the right and straight down you will find the taverns and the night life. The rooms of the hotel are clean and there is every thing that you need on the room. There is a room with air cleaner for smokers. The bar is nice and you can find cheap snacks to eat.

The hotel staff was occasionally rude, I asked where I could get an extra fork for the breakfast and the response was "at that shelf" with a tone that indicated I should have known that since I am supposed to search around random shelfs. At some point during my stay, the doorlock stopped fuctioning (ran out of batteries I suppose). When I reported this incident to the reception I was immediately accused that I broke it. After a while someone came and serviced the lock; at least I wasn't charged with anything.

The internet connection offerings were mediocre at best. The free option was outright unusable and the paid options were small improvements. Luckily the area had excellent reception for mobile internet if that is available to you.

The furniture (and especially the bed) were really old. The design was dated but that is a minor problem compared to the fact that the room wasn't comfortable. Also the water pressure was extremely low.

The location of the hotel is convenient, pretty close to the center of the city. Sadly there is work going on for the subway right outside of the hotel causing a lot of noise.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms face the road, most of them face an internal garden.

Capsis is a very decent hotel located near Thessaloniki's railway station but still within walking distance from the city's centre (Ladadika, Plateia Aristotelous etc) however it doesnt feel very safe area when you walk back at night. It is kept in good condition and rooms are spacious and offer all you may need. Recommended for business travellers as they offer good wi-fi and rooms with an extra working desk and shelves. They are now renovating some of the hotel's spaces but not with much taste in my opinion. In any case ommon spaces and rooms could as well improve their cleaniness.Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as there were unlimited choices of local delicacies to try!It all comes in a daily rate of around 70-90euros or less which is a good value for Thessaloniki.

Good for short stay. In a central location, nearbuy to the shops and market . Major shared resource centers, large rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff. The room image shows that the hotel is older than 30 years. A Lot of noise from the Metro works also very ugly external image because of these projects.

The hotel is very clean and with all necessary amenities. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok with a variety of food.
City centre is not very far way, a 20 minute stroll which is not much if you are on vacation.

Room Tip: There is less noise or no noise at all from the metro construction works in north facing and interna...
