“Long worthwhile drive”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

At the risk of sounding repetitive, as said in previous posts, the long drive is the most worthwhile excursion on the island of zakynthos. The water- deep, clean and crystal clear with caves for exploring and loads of space on the rocks for your belongings. The sunbeds are well worth the two euro for the shade and comfort. The taverna looked inviting and we would have loved to have tried though they do not accept cards.

Thank zanzu

Lovely drive from Zante Town up through the mountains. This side of the coast is relatively un-touristy and well worth exploring if you have hired transport. Porto Limionas is a gem set about 3km off the main road. We swam off the rocks and into caves in crystal clear waters. There are sunbeds on terraces but also loads of places to store your towel on the rocks. By 6pm we were ready for food and the Taverna offers a good menu. Much to the delight of the staff we ordered some fish platters and they were outstanding - fresh grilled sardines, prawns, anchovies, whitebait washed down with a Mythos..yum.

“Heaven (especially at sunset)”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

WOW! Visited here with our hire car.... long drive but so worth it. Visited late afternoon, first took a dip in the cool waters.... loads of sunbathing platforms, but water refreshingly cool! Followed by a lovely walk around the Headland, spectacular views. We then had an early evening meal in the restaurant, food great, however, views spectacular, really special sunset, one of the best we have seen, please visit!!!!

The most beautiful sight i have ever seen! Chrystal clear and frozen waters! Deep water so it is better to take a float just be more safe, since there is no life guard there.

The restaurant there was so nice, the prices were just right and the food was delicius!!!

“Beautiful - well worth a visit”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

I am pretty much echoing the previous review, a beautiful, quiet bay with stunning calm blue sea - perfect for swimming. There is no beach for sunbathing but there are a limited number of sunbeds (approx 10) and umbrellas to the left of the taverna. Not sure if there is a charge for these as didn't use them. There are a few concrete ledges where you can sunbathe but they're not particularly comfortable for lying on.
The taverna is a great place to enjoy a drink and the gorgeous view but the food is distinctly average.
Definitely recommend a visit here, it is so peaceful and pretty.
