“Phew ....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

It smells ... and we found a beach about 5 minutes before this that was stunning. We went snorkelling without the smell, and had all the same points as Xygia ... why have the smell and the bodies, when right next door is a gorgeous little cove :D

“World's best wilde natural SPA-Xigia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2013

The water is perfect, white round pebbles massages your back. Sulphur springs has therapeutic healing ,perfecting your skin. The temperature of the water is ideal. We hired a jeep to reach the beach from Argassi, it's better than the quad considering the roads. You must buy a very good quality map, anyway you are lost! But funny disscover the whole island! You must try. For us was the best summer recently.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

Simply beautiful. Stunningly clear waters and lots of fishies! The smell really isn't that bad, so don't be put off. One of the nicest beaches I've visited. If you swim over too the caves, be warned that the water is very cold in comparison!!

“Water is very softening on skin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

Get a car a drive down here. It's a slightly steep walk so wear appropriate shoes. Beach has pebbles not sand. Water is amazingly cold in some spots and warm in others. You can actually see the white tiny collagen bits in the water. Soak for a while and you will find your skin is moisturised. Very small beach, so go early. 10.30am the sun is there and I found this the best time to beat the bus loads of tourists. You will never find a free spa like this anywhere.

“Really fascinating place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

We hired a Jimny jeep on one day of our holiday and went around the island. Xigia was one of last stops and it was great. The smell hits you straight away but to be honest it wasn't that bad....after a few seconds you begin to smell it less and less. There is a steep set of steps going down to the beach and when you get down it is a small pebble beach with a few sun loungers. We got straight into the water which was lovely and warm but the closer to get to the Sulphur and the caves it gets very cold. When you are swimming around you will notice that the first few inches where the little white flakes are are freezing cold but underneath the water is lovely and warm. We took some photos from the top and they came out great - you can see where the sulphur mixes with the lovely blue sea, its crazy to look at! Would defo recommend for a short trip.
