“just the most amazing blue water”

I find it difficult to describe in words how amazing this beach is. The best I've seen in Lefkada and Greece so far. i give it a 5 out of 5 without blinking. Very difficult to access though in August, you have to park very high on the "street" as it's very crowded and walk through the sun on an unpaved street until you reach some very steep wooden stairs that will tire you very much (on the way up).

Eggremni Beach is nature at its best. You can visit the beach for a short period of time and swim at a part of it if you go by boat as a part of a cruise, but it's a whole different experience if you choose to spend a few more hours there. Pack a snack and anything you'll need, cause there are only two small cafes there. There are signs mentioning there are no toilets at the beach, which is true, but there's one at the cafe which is above the steps - for which we got the key after having a drink there. Arrive early in order to park easily (oh yes, you should have a car to do this) and enjoy some peace and quiet. Go down the 350 steps, enjoy a breathtaking view, and also notice how impressive the final staircase is. The water is cold but its bright colour makes up for it. :-)

Without a doubt the best beach that I have been to in Greece, and I have been to a lot of beaches in Greece.
Quite a few steps down to it - over 300 - so not for the unfit or faint hearted.
So relaxing. You can hire beach chairs / umbrellas for 6 euros, or just an umbrella for 3 euros.

Of course you could also buy a beach umbrella at a supermarket before you go for 8 / 10 euros, use it a few times then leave it at your accommodation for the next visitor, if you were a kindly sort.
Don't forget your sunblock.

Excellent beach. Amazing blue water, amazing blue sky, great place for snorkeling (a lot of little fish waiting to get three wishes from travellers).
Access is rather difficult, be prepared for *the* 350 steps that will get you to heaven.
Parking: 3 EUR/car/day.
No wheelchair access.
