Words do not do this place justice. When you first catch a glimpse of this paradise, your heart actually stutters momentarily. It is every bit as idealic as the thousands of images that we have all seen before. The most aqua blue water you will ever see. Simply amazing!!

Cannot believe anyone would rate this place any lower than a 5. Not sure what they were looking at when they came here!

Went to Porto Katsiki by boat trip organized from Nydri, (through Borsalino travel) on the ship nikolaos. Ample time to swim and sun bath. The beach is one of the best in europe.

Fantastic beach. Far away from any place on Lefkada but worth to see. It is on South-west coast of Lefkada and about 5o km from Nikiana where I stayed. Solid road to beach. You have to leave your car above the beach and there is about 100 stairs to the beach. Nothing really dangerous. Good for taking photos. There is few places above the beach where you can eat or drink something but nothing special. The beach itself is a place to visit and no bars or pools. Water is very clear, turquoise color but kind a little cold in June. Rocks are very high and I suppose maybe 100-200 meters above the beach and it makes it very unusual. You can hide on some parts of beach from sun but there is no shade afternoon when sun is in front of the beach. Sunset is very romantic on it. The beach is very clear without garbage and pollution. In my opinion it is not for families with small kids because the water is very deep just few steps in it.
You should visit it first on Lefkada

For admiring the view it's a must. You will seean incredible color of water, a beach sculpted in a rock, a bridge from where you can admire 2 great sceneries: in the left the famous beach, in the right apparently a small cave.
For bathing i would say there are a lot of other opportunities on the island, i would also recommend gialos that is quite close. And this because of:
- the water on 28th of june was of 19.5 degrees! The coldest ever for me! Also it is not clear or at least in that day was not
- the prices: 3 euros parking + 8 euros sunbeds. Otherwise you need to walk enough in the sun or to stay on the rocks on the beach
- the crowd first because it is well-known, second because all the cruises stop here
Anyway if you decide to go do it after 12 as the beach is below a rock towards west so there is no sun in the morning.
If you forget to buy something to eat or drink there is no problem because there are guys from a restaurant (bilvi i think) that take your order and deliver for free directly on the beach. There are also some guys that sell donuts from time to time.
Beware that there are ~ 100 stairs but very accessible. Upstairs there are 2-3 bars. Also there is a toilet but impossible to use when i intended to :(
