Great value for money. Very clean apartments, serviced daily alternate towels/bedding. Apartments are basic but everything you need is there, and works including a hot shower. Staff and management extremely freindly and helpful. Great pool, no problem getting a sunbed when we were there. Small bar serving drinks and snacks/ breakfast in the mornings good value and good quality. Air con in room payable at 5 euros a day but worth it. Safe deposit box in reception.
The apartments are well situated, 150 metres from beach (sunbeds/umbrellas/boat hire/boat trips etc) and main front with lots of bars and restaurants. It takes about 20 mins to walk the full length to the harbour. There are also a couple of restaurants within 25 metres if you don't want to go far one evening. Cost of a very good 2 course evening meal with drinks (we tend to eat at the more expensive restaurants) is between 25 and 35 euros. You can eat very well for a lot less depending on your budget. Car and scooter/quad bike hire within 50 metres. Bus stop to north, Kassiopi etc, 150 metres. Bus stop to Corfu Town (1.6 euro) 300 metres. there are 2 cash machines on the main strip (no fee for withdrawal by Greek bank). Supermarkets, 2 small local ones within 150 metres and a good 'medium to large by their standards' 400 metres. Don't lug the water back from the bigger one just use the closest one the price is about the same 1.8 euros for 6 x 1.5 litres. Cost of food quite reasonable. For the smokers out there (not me but brought some back for my dad) you can get cigs in resort or wait till you get to Corfu airport it makes no difference they are all the same price i.e 40 euros for Bensons and 38 euros for Silk Cut (200 sleave). Go to Corfu Town for your gifts and just to experience the place, its only about 30 mins on the bus and despite what you might have thought they do run pretty much on time. Very little sign while we were there of any night club activity which meant the resort had a quiet and laid back feel. Ipsos like the rest of Greece is suffering a bit from the current ecconomic situation but apart from some closed businesses you would never know it from the people, they are just fantastic and a warmer welcome you are unlikely to get anywhere else at the moment. They are so pleased to see you and yet you get no hassle at all to eat/drink in their establishment. This was our first time in Greece and it won't be the last. I have tried to cover the points I wanted to know before I went to Corfu so I hope this review helps. We have been to many places and stayed in various levels of accommodation and these apartments are up there with the best. It's not the Ritz but for value and service it should be on your shortlist. If you have the nerve book direct with the owner as I did (just google the website) you will save money and pay on arrival.
