Great value for money. Very clean apartments, serviced daily alternate towels/bedding. Apartments are basic but everything you need is there, and works including a hot shower. Staff and management extremely freindly and helpful. Great pool, no problem getting a sunbed when we were there. Small bar serving drinks and snacks/ breakfast in the mornings good value and good quality. Air con in room payable at 5 euros a day but worth it. Safe deposit box in reception.
The apartments are well situated, 150 metres from beach (sunbeds/umbrellas/boat hire/boat trips etc) and main front with lots of bars and restaurants. It takes about 20 mins to walk the full length to the harbour. There are also a couple of restaurants within 25 metres if you don't want to go far one evening. Cost of a very good 2 course evening meal with drinks (we tend to eat at the more expensive restaurants) is between 25 and 35 euros. You can eat very well for a lot less depending on your budget. Car and scooter/quad bike hire within 50 metres. Bus stop to north, Kassiopi etc, 150 metres. Bus stop to Corfu Town (1.6 euro) 300 metres. there are 2 cash machines on the main strip (no fee for withdrawal by Greek bank). Supermarkets, 2 small local ones within 150 metres and a good 'medium to large by their standards' 400 metres. Don't lug the water back from the bigger one just use the closest one the price is about the same 1.8 euros for 6 x 1.5 litres. Cost of food quite reasonable. For the smokers out there (not me but brought some back for my dad) you can get cigs in resort or wait till you get to Corfu airport it makes no difference they are all the same price i.e 40 euros for Bensons and 38 euros for Silk Cut (200 sleave). Go to Corfu Town for your gifts and just to experience the place, its only about 30 mins on the bus and despite what you might have thought they do run pretty much on time. Very little sign while we were there of any night club activity which meant the resort had a quiet and laid back feel. Ipsos like the rest of Greece is suffering a bit from the current ecconomic situation but apart from some closed businesses you would never know it from the people, they are just fantastic and a warmer welcome you are unlikely to get anywhere else at the moment. They are so pleased to see you and yet you get no hassle at all to eat/drink in their establishment. This was our first time in Greece and it won't be the last. I have tried to cover the points I wanted to know before I went to Corfu so I hope this review helps. We have been to many places and stayed in various levels of accommodation and these apartments are up there with the best. It's not the Ritz but for value and service it should be on your shortlist. If you have the nerve book direct with the owner as I did (just google the website) you will save money and pay on arrival.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms are better.

Big thanks to all at Annaliza very friendly staff and owners, exceptionally clean and near enough to tavernas and restaraunts but not stuck in the middle. Mel (the owners wife) recommended a few places to visit and to eat all were excellent, thanks for the local knowledge and George the barman gave us info about the other side of the island again all good. we would definately visit this place again.

Just returned from a week at the annaliza. After reading some of the reviews was a little concerned but they cannot be further from reality. The rooms are clean and basic but balcony onto the pool was perfect as we went with our 1 year old daughter so could keep popping back for things. I have never been abroad where the owners and staff made our holiday so special, from arrival until the minute we boarded the coach for the airport they treated us like royalty, making us feel like regulars. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel every day and it was lovely and evening drinks before bed. A truly amazing hotel and will definitely be returning. Thank you so much :))

the only good thing going for the hotel is the brochure photos and night time assistant George. Back rooms have balcony's and view of local dwellings (so close we could hear washing machines all night). The big impact on arrival was the overwhelming smell of raw sewage that dispite being moved after a day of negotiations and the managers insistance it was not his hotel, could be smelt through the drains every day and from the balcony every morning. We kept the doors shut all week!
The Hotel falsely is rated at 4 diamonds by most agents, recieving this rating based on the provision of a tv, hairdryer air con and security boxes, 2 you pay for the rest in our room where broken.
Towels where thread bare and ripped, beds and sofas are creaky and missing slats so you fall through!. Rooms are meant for 4 with one bedroom and 2 sofa beds in lounge ajoining the kitchen, with just one tv and aircon unit between all rooms, a family or couples would have a choice of no aircon or no privacy. Self catering faciltiies where non exsistant and despite having to paid for aircon ours was broken!, the kettle didnt work on arrival until we requested a new one, the oven was filthy and dials broken.
The cleaners come round everyday but dont dust sweep or empty the toilet paper bins they just tend to open doors and spray your perfume, forgetting to double lock doors on their exit.
the hotel owner strikes as a mistrusting man beaten by the trade and fed up with the industry, he doesn't want to fix problems or make dreams, or spend any money repairing his hotel, this could be because it is late in the year but, you offer it then supply it!!. He was argumentitve to our suggestions of smelly drains, and he very clearly will only give pool view rooms to guests that meet his inspection on arrival, ( as a same sex couple he probably thought we were 2 young ladies intending to abuse greek hospitality, so wouldn't care about the room) we know he lied to us with regard to moving room because of lack of availabilty. As many rooms became available through out our stay.
We returned our money for the aircon as it didn't work, only to pay for it again the same evening as too hot, with help from george we realised the owner had turned the aircon off at the trip switch on the wall to suggest we wanted something for free!!!!! and didn't double lock the door on leaving nice!!
The exterior as you can see from photos is pleasant and could be lovely resort, however there was not enough sunbeds for all, umbrellas are screwed to the floor, and pool is welcome to non residents making it very hectic and meaning early starts to guarantee beds. couple this with the resort of pirgi /ipsos dying in popularity to the superior resorts of kassopi and dasia you will probably spend most days around a crowded pool, or hiring various vehicles at high cost to get to them each day.
Greece may be suffering with the recession, prices are very high considering what is offered, if you charge the money provide the services.

Room Tip: stay in another hotel, but pool view are definatley maintained better.

My husband and I stayed at the Annaliza Aparthotel the first week in July. The apartments have a small kitchen, with a lounge area/twin bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. There is a good size wardrobe with plenty of coathangers in. The balcony is long with four chairs and a table. Our room didn't overlook the pool (Room 205) we had a view of bushes and trees, but it was great for us as it made it really private, and we got the evening sun.
All the staff were friendly, they serve breakfast (Full English and continental) bar snacks 9am till 4pm, toasties, burgers, omlettes, chips, filled baguettes and more. The drink prices at the bar are not much different to the prices at home, but the measures are a lot better! The shots are also very good.
Air conditioning is 35 euros a week, but I would recommend you get this, as it can be quite humid, and close your bedroom door at night as the air con unit is only in the bedroom, it keeps the room cool while your sleeping.
There is a pizzeria called Bonitas across the road, it is excellent, we ate there four times and never had a bad meal. We didn't do much travelling, as my husband is disabled, but the hotel would make an excellent base for travelling around the island.
There are quite a lot of bars and resturants that have closed down in Ipsos, which tends to make it look a bit rundown, but it didn't put us off. The transfer to the airport was only 15-20 mins, some people on the coach had come from Sidari and had been travelling for over 2 hours.
If I had to moan about something it would be the twin beds pushed together, I would rather have a double bed, but it was ok for a week.
Would I recommend this hotel, yes. Would I stay there again, yes.
