We stayed for 8 nights in a 2-bedroom apartment. For info - it is known locally as Villa Frangis.
Despite our arriving in the small hours of the morning we were greeted and shown to our apartment (although we had already made arrangements to let ourselves in).
The apartment was basic but very clean and adequately equipped for the four of us. The rooms retain the heat but the aircon worked well.
We often had the pool to ourselves and there were plenty of sun loungers both with and without shade.
Nearby we would recommend:
Pelekito (village) for a non-beach eating experience: left out of the gate, up the hill, left onto the main road, take the road opposite 'Ice Dream' (don't get me started on their vegan ice creams - yum!) and follow the road for a few hundred metres.
Ammus for a pool bar by the beach: lovely pool, good food.
Karbouris Taverna for a really close and lovely lunch or evening meal option (with a pool - but more chilled than Ammus). The kids would happily demolish their gyros & pitta.
If you are thinking of taking a family to nearby Hydropolis, I suggest you go after 4pm and pay a reduced rate to stay there for a couple of hours; there is just not enough to do for the whole day and some of the slides are a little rickety.
Agios Spyridon beach is nice and clean but can be quite busy.
Acharivi beach is massively long and also really clean, team it with a trip to the supermarket and get a taxi back.
Beaches at Kassiopi are small and busy. Go there for boat trips and a more lively nightlife.
Note that Agios Spyridon is next to a lagoon; this attracts mosquitos particularly at dusk along the road back from the beach.
In all - we had a well priced break in a lovely (often more expensive) area.
We stayed here for 12 days and had a great time. The owners are very nice and helpful. The 2 bed apartment was clean with small kitchen and good views from the balcony. The aircon and pool and was very welcome in the afternoon heat! The apartment was cleaned and new Towels and sheets provided 3 times during our stay. The local area had just what we needed for a peaceful family holiday. A far cry from Kavos thankfully. We only had a car for 2 days due to lack of availability but would recommend having a car for longer to explore further afield as other transport is difficult in peak period. There is plenty to chose from within walking distance so a car is not essential but would be good to have one at the start of your stay to go to supermarket and stock up on water etc and visit Kassiopi, Old Perithia and take kids to Hydropolis! It was nice just chilling though and the local Tavernas with Pools are great (Ammus and Tabouris). If we go again we will try to book a car for 2 or 3 periods during our stay. The Saint Spyridon area is nice and there are several Tavernas and a couple of nice beaches nearby. You will need mosquito repellant for evenings or you'll be eaten alive! I think there are lots because of the nearby lake Spyridon. Generally Corfu is beautiful with lots of green olive groves and wild flowers, herbs etc. I do wish they cleaned the rubbish a bit from road sides though! Local people are really friendly and several went out of their way to help us or talk witt us.

Just back from a 7 days stay in Fran Apartment with my family. What a great place to stay, and what a fantastic value for money! Apartment was clean, with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, shower room. Nice balcony overlooking the pool and much needed air conditioning working a treat! The beach close by is sandy and with good restaurants and relaxing bars... Cannot fault anything, looking forward to go back next year!
