The saying I heard over and over in Corfu was "Its no problem." To relax, one must keep things simple. First, the right lodging: Corfu Pelekas Apartment in the village of Pelekas. Fully outfitted and sleeps up to 6 in comfort, value and utmost hospitality. Just look for the massive bouganvilla. Don't get suckered into staying at a beach hotel. Next, good walking shoes because to have a view, there must be hills. Walk to village bakery for breakfast before cruising up ancient walkways toward the Kaiser's Throne at the top. Time for lunch at one of the many cafes overlooking the sea in two directions! Now, to the beach for a nap and a dip and stake out your chair fro a magnificent sunset, the best in August. Then, quite a walk back to the village, and follow the live music to a selection of local gathering spots. next day, repeat! Regular buses into Corfu town so you won't need a car. Relax and de-stress!

We spent there one relaxing day with friends. You can rent umbrella and sunbaths. One of the best beaches on Corfu

The beach is clean, has crystal clear water and also offers places to eat. The sea is accessible to children, not very deep. The only thing I didn't like was the access to the beach by a steep, narrow road.

The drive down to the beach is hairy, but worth the effort. Views are beautiful and the water clear, although rather rough the day we were there.
Beach beds are available for €10 for two plus parasol and table and the guy in charge is very helpful, giving us an extra parasol for the baby. The wind gets up every afternoon, so watch out for belongings blowing away if you visit the Taverna. Spiros Taverna is very handy, but weirdly does not provide baby chairs!. That was a real downside. However, the food is good and views across the bay, lovely.
All facilities you need are there including a shop.
We did have problems with wasps, but that seems to be common in corfu
