This 2 star complex what just what we expected. Basic but reasonably comfortable. Leslie was very welcoming and always had a cheery wave if she saw us about. You do need a bit of a sense of humour to stay here and if you are a person that finds fault easily this is probably not the place for you. The furniture in our room was functional but rather old. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment could have been better maintained. I just laughed when the shower head fell out of the wall whilst I was showering. The bathroom door creaked loudly until I put baby oil on the hinges which kept it quiet for a few days. The cleaner did a minimal job. I don't thing she cleaned the bathroom sink once. We would have cleaned around ourselves but there wasn't a broom, mop and bucket or any other cleaning materials.
Vicky Apartments has a lovely setting by the sea. We were in the old block. It looks like all rooms have sea views. And the view is lovely, over towards nearby islands and the Albanian mountains. The complex is in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Far enough away from the main road so as not to hear the youngsters on their mopeds and cars racing around. Although we didn't use the pool it looked very clean and garden area around the pool was pleasant.
We didn't use the pool bar apart from an arrival 'we're on holiday' drink. We would have used it more if we were made to feel welcome but the barman (I think the owner) is rather quiet and unsmiling, unlike most of the other Greek people in the bars and restaurants. As it was early in the season there weren't many customers so he shut quite early.
San Stefanos is a lovely smallish resort. Plenty of restaurants and bars, shops and supermarkets. Didn't have a bad meal all week. We enjoy walking and can recommend making the effort to walk up the hill to the lovely bar at the top. Wonderful views, good food and drink. They have the local Greek beer on draught. Delicious. You have to try the local beer, brewed a short walk from San Stefanos. It's great.
We had made a mistake booking Vicky Apartments, thinking it was on the outskirts of Corfu town (fault of the map on the website). However, we are glad of the mistake and would return to San Stefanos again in the future and probably to Vicky Apartments.

Had top floor room in the new block which was fine. The room and facilities were the normal Greek standard as we expected, the pool is excellent and the sea warm, inviting and two minutes away. The setting is wonderful with views across the bay and the town/village of San Stefanos is a five minute walk away with good supermarkets, an excellent bakery, quality restaurants and a good choice of bars, many with music at night.
Top restaurants were the Little Princes, Zorbas - both with waiters dancing nightly - and Yannis's. Quality food at excellent prices! Also, use the Thomas Bay Hotel bar at night for quizzes, music and staff who have as much fun as the customers. Also, Maria's Bar next to the Vicky for last drink(s) with Spiros and his Czech Republic guests.

Hire a car and go east to Kassiopi and down the west coast for some great views. Good fish restaurants in Arillas and visit Arifonas for a really old village. ONLY DRIVE THROUGH SIDARI, DON'T STOP. IT'S HORRID!

Would we go back to San Stefanos? Most certainly. Would we go back to the Vicky? Yes if we were guaranteed a room in the new block. Did we get good service at the Vicky? Most of the time. Did the occasional poor/lack of service there spoil it for us? No way, we just ignored it and revelled in the beauty and convenience of the place and enjoyed the excellent service we got everywhere else.

Room Tip: Top floor in the new block.

We're just back from the Vicky apartments, on our fifth visit in two years!
Have already booked for next June and August, so you can tell we love the place.
The path to the beach really isn't too steep, if I can manage, most people could. We actually saw a lady manage up on two sticks. Plenty of sun beds, and the pool was lovely and quiet.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, and we had great meals in the resort, both lunch type things and dinner.
Obviously Agios Stefanos won't suit everyone, but if it's quiet relaxation you're after, then this is the spot!

I stayed here with my boyfriend late June/early July 2012 and had a lovely time. We were in the old block, on the bottom floor which I was a little aprehensive about, as I was worried we wouldn't be able to sit outside. However, we had a terrace on the back of our room which was lovely to sit out on, and faced the pool and the sea :) The old block was not bad at all, basic but honestly how much time do you spend in your room on holiday? Served its purpose and was very cosy, also lots of storage space and beds were made (although not changed) everyday and bins were taken out everyday also. Location is really good! Just on the beach, quite a steep hill to walk down which might not suit everybody though. The restaurants and bars were lovely, the biggest thing I noticed was how friendly everybody is, I had never been to any part of Greece before (but had been informed by my boyfriend that everybody was friendly) and this was definately true! Make sure to visit San Stefano Travel, near the beach, which is where you can use safety deposit boxes and find out about excursions, as well as advice on restaurants etc. Thomas Cook reps and transfers were a great plus, and made it stress free! A great holiday :)

We have just came back from Vicky Apartments after being there for 3 weeks. Lovely location lovely people, bar man at Vicky bit grumpy. but apart from this we had lovely nice neighbours, we stayed in old block but this was not really any different from the new block. The pool was fab, the beach is down a sandy ramp, but if you come back up to the Vicky apartments in the middle of the day make sure you have some sandals on your feet because the sand gets very very hot round about midday!! The apartment was very spacious and clean, and the maid came as allocated on the days, except Sundays and she was very friendly. The apartment itself had 2 twin beds, with separate toilet and kitchen. It was very very clean and tidy. There are alot of restaurants to eat in, from Greek to Chinese but all accommodate english tourists really well. The resort is very small, and had only a couple of bars that stayed open until the early hours. The entertainment in these was excellent, with various acts performing during the week. The beach is excellent, its goes for miles and if you are daring then towards the end of the beach there is a nudist part for anyone who is adventurous!! Overall an excellent 3 week stay, would recommend for sure. We are planning a return visit as soon as possible. xx

stayed here wasnt expecting much and thats what we got stayed in new block but still these are poorly maintained, and very small kitchen not really worth having as you couldnt really use it as it is poorly kitted out
aircon broken and not fixed for the 2 weeks we were there even after asking several times
then told by the management we couldnt use a fan ???
fridge has seen better days and didnt really work that well
the bar closed most nights at 9pm not what you expect in greece and the food wasnt upto much and there seemed to be a atmosphere of this isnt really worth the hassle from the staff
i have stayed in san stef several times and the location is very good but there are plenty of much better accomadation in the village so try somewhere else
