“Exellent services at very attractive prices!”

Polite stuff, very rich and tasty bouffet breakfast, beautiful decoration, spacy rooms with large balcony and sea view!
The hotel is new, very clean, all the comforts and fireplace in the rooms, very nice lounge with books to read and always appropriate and relaxing music!
The hotel has a large playroom for kids, a swimming pool, open all the year, and a nice garden.
We were more than happy staying there, enjoyed every minute!
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, away from the noise of the village but only 5km from the Limni village. There are also a few good restaurants on the road between the hotel and the Limni vlilage.
There is a quiet and fairly nice beach just 100m from the hotel.

Room Tip: Every room is nice, sunny and with sea view and each one has its advantages, but overall you will be...

One of the best I have ever stayed in. Spacious, very well equipped rooms. Feells like you are at home. Friendly personnel. Excellent view, nice swimming pool. Huge veranda. Breakfast was very good. I will most probably return soon.

It's listed as 3-star hotel but truly deserves 4-5 stars. Europeans would classify it more like a "Boutique Hotel" because from the moment you walk in, you feel as if you were visiting an old friend in their spacious mansion and well tended grounds. You are given personal attention from the moment you check-in till the moment you check-out. It has 12 rooms, with almost all of them (10-11 out of 12) having a sea or sea & pool views. Nestled among pine trees and local vegetation, with a pool that is "infinity" styled, overlooking the sea, you almost forget who you are.

The rooms are really spacious suites (40 sq. m) that can comfortably sleep 3 people; very tastefully decorated and with materials of high quality (recently renovated our apartment that's why I know....). The little refrigerator keeps food frozen and chills very well. It also has a coffee pot, electric kettle, all cooking amenities (pots, pans, strainers, dishes, silverware, etc), an electric double burner-- again, all good quality.

There are other rooms, spacious suites, but larger.

The balconies are huge with wooden benches on 2 sides (you can lay on them an take an afternoon nap), or sit on the cabana chairs and gaze at the sea and sunset, or play cards/backgammon on the outdoor table with 2 additional chairs. There are flower/plant beds on each corner of your balcony with various plants, vegetation and flowers. Nothing like the cheap, stingy, Hilton style tiny balconies with 2 tiny and dirty chairs, cookie-cutter rooms with no personality and impersonal exterior. This was styled the way you would want it to look like at home. The rooms, the whole place, had personality! It was very modern and tasteful.

The mattress, between a US "Queen" and "King" size. was wider (not so wide --as a King--where you lose each other ;-)) and VERY comfortable (Media Strom brand). Toiletries were brand names (Korres) and replaced as needed.

Let me tell you these folks aren't stingy. They went all out to provide comfort with an amazing attention to detail for the guest's benefit. They spared no expense.

Yes, I'm raving about it. No, I'm not related nor do I know the owners/staff. The staff as well as the owners are soooooooo polite, friendly, accomodating, personable, and professional. Mr. Sotiris would give his shirt off his back (he did so for another guest) and Ms. Lilian an excellent cook!

They do everything to not only accommodate but please their clients. Everything was squeaky clean, lawns, plants, grounds well-maintained.

We spent 9 unforgettable days and it felt that we were on vacation for 2 weeks. We will definitely try to go back.

There is one minor draw-back, the breakfast became a little tiring after 4-5 days. Even though the food was prepared fresh daily, with freshly baked goods from the local bakery, excellent brand coffee, honey, etc (again, top food brands) it got a little boring. However, the daily freshly squeezed orange juice partly made-up for that! The juice for me was UNBEATABLE!!!! Also the menu offers a few dishes and snacks --we had a club sandwich and spaghetti-carbonara and they were delicious!!!

There is an enclosed, shaded, parking area, which sometimes can become tricky in parking --only when a guest decides to take-up 2 parking spaces. It strictly depends on the consideration the guests have for others.

When we went, there seemed to be mostly families with children, however we felt very comfortable with a lot of private space/time at the pool, in the dining areas, on the grounds etc. The hotel caters and is capable of handling all types of situations/travelers. Business, families, couples, solo, etc.

The hotel is about 3 klms. from Rovies, a small sea-side village. There you should eat at "Litsa" if you want fresh seafood, home made greek dishes, and hearty portions at reasonable prices. Also ask for Mrs. Hristina (she is around the corner from there) and makes the best traditional Greek deserts (kadaifi, loukoumades, rizogalo, galaktoboureko, etc).

You need to go to Limni (about 4 klms. the other direction) and eat at the seaside tavern "Kyma" who serves the best T-bone steaks cooked to perfection (I like mine rare). Again, excellent food, fresh meats, also has seafood (frozen) but great variety especially with ouzo or tsipouro! Prices here are actually low!

You should try touring the rest of the island, it has mainly pebble beaches, the best one for me was Psoropouli on the NE side, with smaller pebbles than other beaches. If you want sand , head out towards Lihadia --the NW side. However, we found the pebbly beach, with the crystal clear water in front of the hotel excellent and a mere 3 mins. walk.

The worst and hardest part for us was ... leaving!

Room Tip: Sorry, got too excited with the mouse--there is no "spa". All rooms have an excellent vi...

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. The hotel is very conveniently. Nearby beaches comfortable and very pleasant swim. Rooms are very spacious suites and large balconies. In the Room small kitchenette and comfortable. The room has enough space to store all the baggage. The owners who live in Athens pleasant communication. The husband comes in on weekends and chatting with guests. Woman takes care of all needs and all her gods are nicely received and is treated quickly.
The couple operate the hotel do it wonderfully. They are welcoming and take care of all needs of the guests. Make sure to soak a pleasant atmosphere. They make breakfast will be diverse, fresh and delicious specialty pastries.
Pleasant music played in the background.
The swimming pool looks small at first glance but it is a pleasant pool and hot tub which is really wonderful.
We recommend to stay at this hotel.
Note: the signs leading to the hotel just written in Greek. Especially useful signs the name in English.

Room Tip: We believe it is recommended to ask for a room on the top floor.

Just back from a 6 night stay at the Astrolabe and found it to be a really good hotel. The hotel is priced slightly higher than other hotels in the area but once you see the hotel and your room you can see why and begin to think it's actually quite cheap. We went as a family of 4 (two kids under 3 years) and found the room to be very spacious and more than comfortable with all the extra's you need with a young family (cooker, kettle, fridge, dvd player and great Air Con). The balcony area overlooking the sea is also great just wished the kids would have went to bed earlier for us to fully appreciate it. The hotel itself has a wonderful and peaceful garden terrace and a beautiful pool along with indoor and outdoor play facilities for the kids.

The hotel is very well situated in Hronia (in between Rovies and Limni) so there is plenty to see and lots of good beaches in the area. I would recommend driving just south of Limni where you will find the best Greek restaurant in the area (Astron) and also quite a few unspoilt pebble beaches.

The only negatives regarding the hotel was that the hotel closed the pool between 1400 and 1700 hrs for siesta but to be honest the pool is far enough away from the hotel that it could remain open and hopefully they will review this. Although other posts raved about the breakfast, I found it to be quite plain and simple and it could have been a little more varied although I did love the coffee (even though I am a tea drinker) and the fresh pastries. And the snack menu could have also been a little better.

All said, a great hotel with really helpful, frredly staff which I would definitely visit again.

I had to spend a few days in Greece so I took the opportunity for a 5 day holiday break with my girlfriend in early January.
The hotel was really most enjoyable. Ample room, quiet, nice garden, and an eye-catching of the see from the roomy balcony. Best of all was the breakfast, fresh and inviting, topped with the staff's warmest smiles. Wish the weather had been better, so we (or should I say "I") could have enjoyed the pool, too.
Wish we could go back

I enjoyed it again with my wife and a party of friends, over a long weekend at the end of June. It was all I remembered, and despite being booked solid this time (last time was off peak season), the service level had not slipped back at all! Everything I said after my previous stay still applies, plus I found out that each room is different in layout and finishing touches in the decoration. I think I'd love to try them all out!
