We stayed between the 7th and 21st of July! The staff were very friendly and helpful and all our needs and requirements were catered for. The apartment was basic but comfortable. Be prepared to suffer the heat in your room unless you pay €50 a week for air conditioning which we did and it proved invaluable! The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday. The pool was lovely and clean with plenty of loungers so rushing to claim a spot in the morning was never an issue. We made some great friends around the pool area over the 2 weeks we stayed.
We are in our mid twenties and didn't find the walk to and from town any trouble at all it took us about 20 minutes and the hill everyone talks about is nowhere near as bad as some people have made out!
We would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

We have just spent a week here and cannot see how anyone could having anything to complain about! Yes, it's a bit of a climb back on a hot day (and they're all hot!), but get a taxi! €4 will hardly break the bank! We walked down in the morning (stopping for coffee and a pain au chocolat at the bakery half-way down) and taxied back in the afternoon. We had a family week (joining our older son and his family on their 2nd week) at Zozefina, and couldn't fault it. So friendly, clean and not-too-big! Even the cats were friendly!

Stayed for two weeks in June 2013 in the Zozefina apartments which are about 1 kilometre up a steepish hill behind Parga. This was no problem for most of our family group, but one person found the walk too much and used taxis (4 euros) or a hire car..Zozefina also has a number of steps and different levels and could be difficult for the less mobile.
The best situated apartments are 205 and 305 with great views over the lovely pool area and the countryside. I was in end room 301 which was very clean with comfortable twin beds, a good balcony with a glimpse of the sea and a window in the bathroom for ventilation. Shower over small bath was tricky for access. There was some traffic noise in 301 but this was reduced if the balcony shutter or double glazed door was closed. The mosquito net on the balcony door worked despite being a bit frayed around the edges. The separate kitchen was useful and well equipped (for Greece) and the excellent local produce (bread, honey, yogurt, tomatoes, cheese, fruit, wine) resulted in some memorable meals on the room balcony. Local shops were generally well stocked and reasonably close (nearest approx 500metres).
Zozefina has an excellent shaded bar/dining area and the sparkling pool was put to good use on most days. The owner, Fotini, her family and staff made the Zozefina a warm and friendly place to stay in beautiful Parga. Best fish restaurant was the family run Stefanos with fresh fish caught by the family. Best for pre dinner drinks the Citadel terrace at the Kastro run by Greg. Both have magnificent views. Cheap drinks and meze platters at Johnny Dallas (we don't make you crazy!) up an alley-look for the Factory store sign near the anchor on the harbour.

Room Tip: Some rooms on each floor don't have bathroom windows-request bathroom window to avoid toilet sme...

Enjoyed our stay. It's not that far out of Parga, took me about 12 mins walk to get to Piso Krioneri beach. It's not that hilly a walk either. Cleaning in the apartment was excellent and Lorena who works in the bar was very friendly. First time to Parga and really liked the place. Kordas shop about 10 mins walk away and is good, it's open all year so doesn't have out of date stock. A few of the olive groves have been cut down by the locals for firewood because the energy prices were so high.

The Zozefina apartments are spotless and perfectly positioned amongst the Olive Groves. Great location, quiet, relaxed and friendly. The rooms are basic, but very clean, cool and comfortable. The complex is pretty, surrounded by colourful flower pots and a lush green lawn. The pool is lovely; again the pool area and entire complex is kept spotlessly clean. The owners are friendly and make the best omlettes in Parga. It's a lovely stroll into Parga town, there are two easy walking routes, which are very safe, relaxed and scenic. We got a taxi back, several times, which was no trouble at all; we could put our shopping in the boot and cook up a lovely supper on the veranda. Love the Zozefina; a very special place.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have larger verandas.

We stayed in the Zozefina for 2 weeks at the start of July.

Positives: incredibly friendly hosts, spotlessly clean rooms and general areas, great pool area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and a pleasant bar area to escape to when the heat got too much......and it did get too much whilst we were there.......still over 30c most nights at midnight so the air con was an absolute must!!

Negatives:
The location !!! yes it is just 15 mins walk from the town but it is up an incredibly steep hill and is almost unbearable trying to do it in 40c+ heat in the day. We gave in the end and got taxis all the time so just make sure you budget that in your holiday spending money.
The bathrooms. We were in a 'middle' room - think there were three or maybe four rooms in a row. The rooms at either end were fine as they had windows in the bathrooms, however, the middle rooms had no window as the bathrooms are located in the middle of the apartment. It s a bit difficult to explain but basically the bathroom is sandwiched between the kitchen are and the bedroom. The wall between the bathroom and kitchen stops about 3 foot from the ceiling which means the bathroom is completely open to the kitchen. We found that unacceptable and actually quite disgusting. It stopped us using the kitchen for anything and it also mean't that the bathroom was in a permanent damp state and the shower curtain smelt, the bath mat and towels wouldn't dry and the floor didn't dry so you were gong to the loo at night and having to dry your feet before getting back in bed....not great!!!
Agree with a previous poster about the balcony being completely unusable due to no sun canopy or umbrella. such a shame as we love sitting on the balcony reading but didn't do it once.

Parga:
what a lovely little fishing village, spoiled for choice with restaurants and bars - something for everyone. Town beach is a bit ropey - shingle beach and very seaweedy which I don't like, but Valtos beach is stunning and we ended up getting the water taxi round to it every day. Water is crystal clear and so calm. Good choice of restaurants a little shop by the beach and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas - think it was 8 or 10 euro a day for two beds and a brolley.

Would definitely go back to Parga but not to the Zozefina!

Room Tip: ask for an end room with a bathroom window

This was a perfect summer holiday. First of all Parga is stunning and trying to fit in all the amazing places to eat into two weeks was impossible. Yanni's is a must and the only place we went to twice. The beaches are stunning, especially Lichnos, which I wish we'd visited sooner. However, we didn't go to the beaches as Zozefina's pool is so perfect. Beer in iced glaces, 40 degree heat and always a free sun lounger. The apartments are simple but comfortable and all one needs for staying in such a gorgeous town. The walk into town is slightly longer but rather pleasant, especially after so much food. The ultimate cherry on this already fantastic apart-hotel is the hosts. What a beautiful, warm and endearing family...it's worth going just for the hospitality. We hope to be back soon!!

Room Tip: I would personally go for the air con in August...it is such a relief out of the heat!
