Stayed here for a week in May and what a great choice it was. Hotel is the best we have stayed in in Greece. Beautiful room (520) with an unbelievable view of the castle. Staff friendly and food in restaurant of a very good standard. Bit of a steep walk into town but well worth it. Try Sakis taverna for great homemade food. Cant wait to come back

First visit to Parga and the choice of hotel was perfect. Nice staff, stylish interior, good food, sufficient breakfast (especially dark bread highly appreciated, even though not real rye bread). All our small wishes were answered. And the location by the sea! I highly recommend this family -owned, well-run hotel to anybody wishing to spend a nice and relaxing week in Parga.
P.s. Half-board was also a good choice. Lots of opportunities to test other places on lunch.

Room Tip: 140 with a nice sea view and a small kitchen

I chose Valtos beach due to its location by the sea and reviews. It was with my husband two boys and their girlfriends. I pre-booked our taxi transfer from the airport with the very reliable Billy. Billys_house2005@yahoo.com we arrived 55minutes later at our hotel where we were greeted by the hotel owners. Our rooms were lovely, one room and a 2bedroom apartment. For the best views ask for a high room overlooking the pool, be warned there are steep steps. The walk into Parga is very steep too, you can get a taxi for 4. Euros but there are still many steps for the best views. Look for the many good restaurants in the back alleys, they often offer better food than the ones relying on the great views.
The Greek evening was enjoyable with all the hotels family joining in. The pool and hotel area are kept very clean. The restaurant food is good. Altogether we had a lovely week and I would recommend this hotel

Room Tip: High, overlooking pool,

Just back from a very relaxing week at the Voltas Beach Hotel & Appartments in Parga. Lovely hotel, extremely well run & clean, great location, lovely pool area, wonderful Greek food (Greek night a must!), beautiful trees and plants around the rooms. The family & staff do a great job and work long hours keeping the place nice.
There's a lot to do in the area; boat trips to Paxos and Corfu and other Ionian islands, cruising to other beaches, walks, trips inland to see ancient sites and even a trip to Albania.
The hotel is next to the beach if you want a change from relaxing at the pool.
We went with Thomson's; everything went very smoothly with the journey.
I would definitely recommend it for families, people travelling alone, couples. (Perhaps not fo those who struggle with walking - there are a lot of steps & a steep walk into Parga, but water taxi's are available).
Genuine Greek hospitality; Give it a go.

Second time round and it just gets better. The hotel has just undergone a refurb and is looking great. It is kept spotlessly clean, the food is very good and great value and the staff are all very helpful, happy and friendly. The Gogozotos family are among'st the nicest people you could wish to
meet and nothing is too much trouble for any of them.
Will we return again? try stopping us.

It is a big thumbs up from us !
Stayed for one week, May 12th - 19th. The hotel has been refurbished over the winter, and the pool area, restaurant / bar area is now very very nice and makes the hotel feel like a boutique style hotel. The rooms also have been updated.

From the very minute we arrived, to the minute we departed, we were made to feel welcome. The staff are fantastic, every single member of staff were very hard working but always had a smile on their face and were on hand for anything you needed. Alex and Alice served us for the full 7 days and spoke perfect english, and also helped us learn a few greek sayings.
The owners are two brothers Nicos and Christos, they work long hours and are very friendly and speak very very good english ( and other languages ) . Also their mother and father still help out at the hotel, every day you will see mama & papa around the place, doing different jobs. Mama loves her flowers and is always filling the many vases with fresh flowers from the lovely gardens. They also grow their own vegetables, you see them pick them and take them into the kitchen, very fresh indeed.

GREEK NIGHT - Monday night is greek night. For 15 euros it is a great evening of fun and food. BBQ meats are very very tasty and a huge hot and cold buffet also. Plenty of fun in the greek dancing, it is up to you if you want to join in or not. For 15 euro this is a great evening with great food.

FOOD - The quality of the food is very high. The menu is large and covers everything from traditional greek dishes, to pizza and pasta , burgers and chips. Everything we ordered was fresh and very tasty, and the value for money was superb. This really is a fantastic place to have lunch or dinner, or pop in for a snack .

BREAKFAST - Great buffet style breakfast every morning. Traditional greek food, cheeses, meats, breads, jams, honey, yoghurt, greek coffee made for you. Also, hot foods like bacon, sausage, beans, eggs ( boiled, fried and scrambled ). Plenty of choice, and was well worth paying for.

ACCOMMODATION - Lovely rooms, we stayed in room 125, a very large room with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen. Large balcony with views to the sea and the castle, fantastic to sit outside in the evening, having a cocktail and looking at the castle lit up at night. The room was spotless and the beds changed every day, fresh towels daily. Could not fault the maid service, they were very very good.

RECEPTION - Very modern reception, nice and cool, lovely seats and couches to relax in and a small library to choose from. Also they provide 2 computers for you to use free of charge. There is WIFI throughout the hotel, this is also free of charge. There is a massage chair which is great, 1 euro for 3 minutes , 2 euro for 6 minutes.

LOCATION - Perfect for us. You are almost on Valtos Beach, which is a lovely beach around 1km in length. The hotel also has its own beach bar ( this was not open when we visited, but will be open for the last week in May we were told ), the hotel also has its own section of the beach, with sunbeds and parasols for hire. If you want to walk into Parga town , you turn left on the beach and head up towards the venetian castle. This is quite a steep walk, but the views are lovely and when you reach the top, the view over Parga town is one to bring a smile to your face. And whilst you are up there, pop into the castle and have a drink on the terrace, the view is just lovely. If you do not want to walk, a taxi costs just 4 euros from the hotel into Parga town.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone, and we are already talking about revisiting in 2014. The staff are fantastic, the chef and his kitchen staff are an asset to the hotel, the location is perfect, the facilities are modern and the whole experience of being at the hotel was a joy.

Room Tip: If you do not like steps, ask for a room as low to ground level as possible. The hotel is built into...

We weren't sure what to expect from a late September holiday in Parga but we enjoyed it so much we will definitely return. This is unusual for us as we like to explore somewhere new for each holiday, but the Valtos Beach and Parga itself provided such a relaxing destination with everything we want from a beach holiday and more. The beach and sea are very clean and not too busy (although high season might be different), lots of local restaurants, supermarket, stunning scenery and views, shops and history in the town with the Venetian fortress and charming cobbled streets. The walk over the hill past the castle is not a problem at night and good exercise as long as you're reasonably mobile. Likewise for the stairs in the hotel, you wouldn't get the views without the hill.

As everyone says, the hotel is very well run by a friendly family who provide exceptional service - to our amazement this included carrying our suitcases up several flights of stairs for us when we arrived. Our room (apartment) was basic but clean and typical of Greek accommodation. Sheets and towels were changed frequently. We found the beds (2 twins together) comfortable but we do like firm mattresses. Next time we would probably pay more for one of the hotel rooms on the front with a view (sea & castle).

The restaurant is excellent and again with service that far exceeds expectations. It rivals the many good restaurants in Parga. Some of our favourites included Sakis for very inexpensive traditional Greek, and Maestro's for good food with a view. There is also a fun but touristy restaurant on the sea front that has lots of Greek dancing & music etc.
Also, don't miss the Greek night at the hotel - good value and great fun with lovely food. The highlight was Mama dancing on a table! The night felt very much like a Greek family party that hotel guests had been invited to.

We only had 2 niggles - we didn't use the pool area as the sun lounger mattresses really need replacing. They looked grubby and a bit mouldy. However, the beach was so lovely this wasn't a problem and hopefully they will refurb before next season.
The other thing is will someone please oil the mechanism of the toaster used at breakfast. I know this sounds petty but the on-going high pitch screech throughout breakfast did spoil the beautiful outlook a bit. That said, breakfast was very good with an amazing spread of hot & cold food. I recommend going B&B as it was far better than a typical Mediterranean hotel breakfast.

Overall we're looking forward to returning, and hopefully soon.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for a room with amazing view.
