“Very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

Just returned from a 2 week stay at Dracos. This is a great apart-hotel; modern and clean with lovely mountain views. As mentioned by other guests, it's a 15 min walk into town. Ok going down but an uphill trek back.

Our ground floor studio in the main building was perfectly positioned for our children as it meant they could go tortoise spotting in the gardens whilst we sat on our veranda. The studio itself was large and spacious and the wardrobes had tonnes of space for the 4 of us. The bathroom was good with an enclosed wet room style shower and the kitchen area was adequate for breakfast and making sandwiches.

The pool and bar areas are very nice. Peaceful and relaxing (yet still welcoming children) and plenty of sun beds with comfy pads on. The bar serves nice snack lunches such as omelette, burgers, salads and club sandwich. It also has free wifi and opens until 1am. Vicky at the bar is lovely.

So now for a few gripes! I really wish I didn't have any but here goes...

The beds were 'rock' hard and gave me a sore back (for the first week anyway!).

The sliding partition in the room which separates the children's and parent's beds is as much use as a chocolate teapot. No privacy at all. We are used to one bedroom apartments and this was a compromise. But why not just build a full wall here instead?

And finally, our veranda was the smallest in the complex and had a six foot bush. Great for privacy and shade but it felt too enclosed. Tricky one really but if we stayed again, I'd ask for a different ground floor room.

Nevertheless, these few gripes would not stop me from returning. Dracos is a great apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Does what is says on the tin. Nice setting, good pool, nice grounds. Stayed in the apartments which are handy to nip back to from the pool.
Parga itself is very nice. The swimming and snorkelling in the town where superb. Hired a car for 7 days via Synthesis travel. Visited Meteora which took about 2:40 to get to and about 190k each way. Worth the time and effort. Also took in the Perama caves near Ioannina. You get a 45 min tour and this again is well worth the effort.
There are loads of great tavernas in Parga. Perivola and Yannis to mention a couple. Did not have a bad meal in the two weeks there. Also a trip to the castle and a couple of drinks up there, taking in views is a must.
A big thanks to Trev and Mary for adding to the holiday.

We stayed at Dracos aparthotel during 1/2 term break May/ June 2013. We were allocated at room at the rear of the property. My husband was disappointed but it was ok .Apparently our rep told us that they were full and I wasn't bothered enough to ask to change rooms .Our room overlooked a few homes of local people- I don't know how they felt but I was quite entertained at the comings and goings of their lives!
It was a duplex arrangement having two double beds which meant we two had plenty of room to spread ourselves! It was adequate with fridge, two rings for cooking , kettle and some basic utensils.Air conditioning and safe hire in the room was extra.
It was quite a walk into the town itself taking about 15 minutes down but probably longer coming back as it is on a hill. It is also set back from the busy main road. We much preferred the quieter back road to the harbour as it seems most other people did as well.
We only ate at the apartments once as they only offered a snack menu . This was fine but quite expensive compared with other places.
Several nice tavernas/ restaurants were located close to the apartments- Perivoli, Yannis , 5 Senses and loads to choose from at the harbour front.
The weather was generally sunny and warm during the day and cool with some rain at night . I needed something to cover my shoulders at night but it was much better than we had had before we left UK!

Stayed here for a week at the beginning of June. Lovely contemporary studios/apartments. Spotlessly clean. Nothing to complain about but why cant I rave about it - can't put my finger on it :-( Had a room in the new block but the noise from the pool pump kept me awake. Nice pool/bar area but drinks/snacks expensive. Dimitiris, the owner, is very quiet; does not interact with his guests very much (no warmth). I have stayed in places in Parga where the pool bar was the hub but not at the Dracos. Vicky (who works behind the bar) is a lovely young girl and very helpful. Enjoyed our stay but would not have any great desire to visit again unless the price was right.

Stayed here 1st two weeks in September 12 and loved Dracos and Parga, would have come back againn this year but had already booked our 2013,holiday to Kefalonia before we stayed here. We had the apartment which I call in the roof you can just see the top of the skylight window in he pictures, as we had no apartment on top of us we had an open balconey which my husband loved as we got no shade at all just full sun. Never had a problem getting a sunbed at anytime and you are spoilt here as you have cushions on the sunbeds. Ate out in Parga every night and never had a bad meal, loved Maistro andPerivoli_Restaurant and having a drink in Captains bars. Must mention the frozen yoghurts they were brilliant you have to try them ,we had them every day.Walked through the olive groves to lichnos beach but as always we got lost missed the turning to the beach ,did not matter as we enjoyed the walk. We had perfect weather when we were there . Dracos and Parga we hope to be back. Enjoy your stay here.

Room Tip: We loved our room at the top .

We stayed at Dracos for a family holiday - first impressions were lovely very clean and everything we expected plus more.
The rooms were cleaned daily and were very spacious.
The pool and bar were spotlessly clean and the food lovely.
The staff were friendly and professional.
As we visited in May it was fairly quiet with not many children for my 5 year old to play with.
The location was perfect 10 mins walk to the beautiful harbour with plenty of bars and restaurants.
The apartments had a family of tortoises which were lovely to watch.
All in all worth the money and star rating .

We love the Dracos. The hotel is clean and peaceful ideal for a relaxing holiday. Dimitri was as helpful as always. I think the best review I can give this hotel is that we keep going back to it as do so many other people. Look at the photos thats exactly what it is like.......fabulous we will return.
