“The warmest welcome, and most enjoyable stay....”
Reviewed July 26, 2010

If we could sum up Harmony resort; it's all about people....

George and his wife are two of the most hospitable people you could ever wish to meet. They had only been at Harmony Resort for 4 months when we visited, but in that short time they have made many positive changes.

The re-naming of Villa Patros, to Harmony Resort concerned us before the visit... However any concerns were dispelled when we realised why they had chosen the name Harmony... It's due to their love of music! Both George and his wife are great musicians. They spent years travelling India, playing music and making enough money to live. Now they have settled down back in Greece, and taken on these apartments.

We stayed for two weeks and were lucky enough to join them for two evenings of live music - one was traditional Greek music, the other, a traditional Indian music night. Both nights, the couple were joined by friends who also played some interesting instruments. It was quite an education. All music was provided at no charge, just for the fun of it...

We spent many evenings with George, talking till the small hours of the morning, which he never minded at all... He embraces company, which makes you feel so warm and welcome.

There is no formal restaurant, however they were providing sandwiches, paninis and other snacks / drinks. Generally if you ordered some drinks, you'd be given a small plate of nibbles to enjoy with your drinks.

As for the accommodation - The building looks really nice, and typically Greek. Everywhere is maticulously cleaned, inside and outside! the pool is to the rear of the property, and we spent many hours reading by it, or swimming in it. (near the pool there are three small buildings: an outdoor bar, showers, and toilets).

The olive grove next door is nice to look at, with ancient olive trees all twisted and inter twined.

Our room was no 9... we had a balcony with a view of the sea, which was lovely. The rooms were actually very big and spacious (unusual for Greek apartments). At the time of our trip, June 2010, they had ordered new mattresses and are planning full renovations of the apartments during next winter season. We couldn't fault the apartment one bit, as they inherited it, the rooms were basic, but perfectly clean and functional. We expect great things of the rooms after the renovation.

The bar / reception area is a nice place to spend time, have a dink and talk. This area was renovated by the couple in the short time they had prior to opening for this summer season.

There are very few places where we have been made to feel so "at home" and welcome. you're part of the family for the duration of your stay.

You are truly welcomed into the lives of two people, who really love life...

Hope you enjoyed this, Scott andJo.

We stayed at the Harmony Resort (previously called Villa Petros) the last week in May. This accommodation had just recently changed ownership and is now in the hands of George and his wife, who are some of the nicest people you could meet and will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
The studios have a good sized pool to the rear of the property, which I didn’t use but others staying seemed to enjoy it. Harmony Resort is located about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Parga, this can be achieved by either walking down the main road into Parga or down the side roads.
Our room was very clean (as everywhere was), for self catering purposes it had all the usual items such as twin cooker rings, toaster, kettle, plenty of crockery and utensils. Our room had twin beds, which were ok but I suspect due a change, TV, balcony and enough wardrobe space for unpacking the suitcases, also the room itself was very spacious. If I had something negative to say about our room, it was the close proximity of the olive grove next door, therefore the room never saw much sunshine through the day.
What I can gather George has being busy making changes to the property since he bought the business and I wish him well in this venture, if his enthusiasm and kindness is anything to go by it shall be successful.
